Fantastic experience: I attended the 8 hr pre-assignment course held on 1/24/25. In short, the class was very well taught, and entertaining enough that I only felt about 4 of the 8 hrs. Our instructor displayed a knack for engaging his students and this proved to be a quality which lead to our entire class to passing our exam. I would definitely recommend this location for anyone looking to obtain a security license in the Capital District.

Fantastic experience: I recently took a class and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t know what to expect from the class but Frank was awesome and the class went by very smooth and was very informative. I look forward to more trainings through P.I. Update : Frank has great communication and I love how he is still personable and easy to communicate with as far as work placement goes and other questions one may have. He stays in touch even after you take the class for any questions and needs. I was stressed about being able to work I was running into a few bumps and he did take time aside to meet with me in person.

Fantastic experience: This is regarding the security staff at Albany Airport. I had an issue with my car key battery at the Airport while I came to pick up. The staff at PI were very very helpful. To be specific - Zo and Trevor who went above their job and helped me by swapping their personal car key battery, so I could start my car, this was very very helpful and appreciated. Keep rocking Zo and Trevor, Thank you PI for having them as your employees.

Fantastic experience: After being in the security industry for almost 6 to 8 years, both New York State and Florida, and after sitting through many of classes, this Academy has by far been the most informative, interactive and knowledgeable class in New York State. I have sat through many of classes where I Could not wait to leave but with instructor Frank’s technique of teaching you want to stay and learn more. The way engages the class is key. I could tell with the eight hours of interaction with that company that I want to take more classes and hopefully work along side them one day. They are expanding in great ways and gaining more contracts a very worth while investment in a company that treats everyone like family.

Positive experience: Very professional and instructor was on top of the class and very impactful and knowledge acquired.

Negative experience: Higher ups (excluding the actual owner) is extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. Every week, my check came up short a few hundred dollars, supervisor made work environment very uncomfortable. HR never respond back in a timely fashion. No sick or personal days. Supervisor rarely helped, stayed in office the whole shift working on his clothing line. NEPOTISM is everywhere. Owner promotes son into management, supervisor promotes sister into higher positions. Working there became a headache. Weekly unnecessary meetings where we talk about nothing. Good luck

Fantastic experience: I recently took their training class and the Facilitator (Frank) was awesome, especially with his 3rd rated acting skills (as he would say). I feel our class engaged very well with Frank and one another. Lesson well taught.

Fantastic experience: Five + stars to Trevor, security guard at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall on Saturday Nov. 11 2023! The performance finished and 5 of us were outside waiting for our transit bus that ultimately never arrive to take us home! Trevor saw us and offered to stay with us until an alternate transport arrived. He was on his own time, volunteering to stay with 5 older folk (mostly women), in the cold. It was so nice of him. He could have just gone home but instead stayed and even made sure the ride share that arrived in about a half hour was correct. One of our group gave him a message for his mon - "She raised a good young man". Just want some recognition for this above and beyond action by Trevor. Thank you Trevor!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Today, Monday, October 23, 2023, I was at Albany International Airport to pick up a family member. As I was driving into the airport my 'Low tire pressure' light went off. When I pulled up to the pickup lane a security officer came along to tell me my right front tire was completely flat and unsafe to drive on. His name was Zo. Along came another security guard, Dillon, who along with Zo, walked in front of my car as I drove to a safer place in line where AAA could come and fix my tire. Once i was parked, each one checked on me and assured me I was not to be nervous, I was in good hands. Security guard, Maurice placed cones around my car so AAA would know where to park. I am letting you know about these three wonderful young men because they went above and beyond helping me both with where to park my car and settling my nerves. They made sure to tell AAA where to find me. I hope Zo, Dillon and Maurice at least get an, Attaboy, and perhaps a letter placed in the files for their kindness. Sincerely, Barbara J. Maher

Fantastic experience: I have recently completed the both the 8 hour Security Guard Training and the 16 hour On-The-Job Security courses at Premium Investigations. I felt the courses were presented in a clear and concise manner by a talented security professional. The instructor has shown to have expert knowledge in the security profession, and is an excellent instructor. Along with covering the NYS Security Guard training material, the instructor offered examples of various situations a security guard may face, and how to best handle a situation, in the best interest of the client and security company. PI’s instructor also covered the workings of how the security company would integrate into the contractual obligations, such as budgets, ethics, public relations, communications to name a few, giving students better insight on how the profession operates, to the benefit of both companies. He also has an excellent method of motivating students interest, by requiring discussions and opinions between participants. This method increased attentiveness and improved understanding of the subject, of the matter. I highly recommend PI, especially Instructor Frank Paonessa, for their excellence in providing a well-rounded training programs.

The instructor was very thorough and took his time to cover very important aspects of security that instructors do not generally go over, in addition to the standard curriculum. As an Army veteran and psychology student, I understand the importance of preparation and teaching style for effective learning. Frank's teaching style was inspired by Psychologist David Kolb's experiential learning, which involves "learning through reflection on doing". This technique encouraged us to reflect on and visualize the theories and concepts of security and apply that knowledge to real-world scenarios. Frank used visual aids, including videos, and added wit and humour to illustrate key points, provide a deeper understanding of the do's and don'ts of working in the security industry, and help us appreciate the industry's complexity and unpredictability. Overall, it was an informative and engaging training session. Positive experience: Went in for fingerprints for my foster parent license and they were taking people in before me who had appointments after me even though I was early for my appointment. This made me super late for work. Once I was in the fingerprinting room the guy was very professional and tried his best to get things done as soon as possible.
