Joaquin Geurrero worked for STT Security for four years beginning back in 1986. Since then, he has gone on to become a Police K9 Handler/Trainer and Animal Control Officer. His passion resides in partnering with dogs on the police force, and it also encompasses rescuing abused and neglected dogs. Guerrero served over 30 years in the public sector, providing rehabilitation and training to canines both in and out of the police force. His partner, Rookie, assisted him in search and rescue the day after 9/11.
Retired, Guerrero took on the role of an Animal Care and Control Officer. He now dedicates most of his time to giving back to the communities he serves. He is also a successful actor, starring in six movies with a seventh underway. Joaquin is a published author as well, and he often does book-signings at Barnes and Noble – specifically hosting the events for veterans.
Joaquin Guerrero is currently filming his next movie, Warpath. He is also shooting a trailer to promote his current training canine, Little Chief, titled The Adventures of Little Chief. Freezin’ for a Reason is an initiative that brings attention to the effects of cold weather on pets that are left outdoors in the winter months; Guerrero spent a night in the cold to raise awareness about these issues.
Joaquin explained that he takes part in these types of extracurricular work because he enjoys it and it’s fun to take part with the community and people he’s served.

Fantastic experience: I have been working for STT for 4 years now, and have been very happy with this company. Management is very attentive, and communicative. Chain of command is clear, and responses from everyone, from direct management to corporate is prompt. Looking forward to staying with them for a while longer, if fates allow. Sadly, I found out today our client has opted to not renew their contract. The ONLY reason I would leave them, is if the contractor were to reach out personally, as location weighs heavy on my decisions.

Negative experience: I have been working in security since 2013 and have had the opportunity to work with numerous companies. Unfortunately, my experience with STT has been the worst and most unprofessional in the entire US. I worked with them in the Bay Area, California, and had the misfortune of dealing with a tall white guy John and Sgt. Martinez, who were extremely rude. The recruiter I interacted with was equally unprofessional. I strongly advise against working with STT, as it appears to be a scam. I recommend that the main boss of STT reviews their recruiter's work and site operations manager's performance. If you value your career, avoid working with STT - you will regret it.

Negative experience: By far the worst company that I have ever seen. Did not care about their employees. Would rather tell the client whatever the client wants to hear then do what is right. Low pay and high pressure from management. You’re just a number to them.

Fantastic experience: Responsibility is not a problem, they are reliable, honest men and women the Mt. Pleasant, MI Staff did a knock-out job on the Coleman Mi Concert and the Midland PGA Golf Tournament, these fine women and men always, besides security, ask what else can they do to accommodate their clients.

Fantastic experience: Impressive agency that provides everything my business needs. From background checks to over-night / on-site security for all of our buildings, they have always treated our small business with integrity and professionalism. Fantastic experience: My work-life balance, compensations, benefits and overall well-being have increased greatly since joining STT. I could not be happier with where I work. The management team really seems to care about their employees. Leadership with a creative vision, a mentoring culture, and a desire to assist. You are valued by the leadership at every level, and they make time for you. From the VP to other senior management, you always feel valued. I've been thrilled to be a part of STT journey. I know there is great potential and that makes me happy to be included along with it.
Negative experience: Would not recommend working there. Your wasting your time. There are better jobs out there with better pay. They are nothing more than a hire and fire revolving door. Their training has alot to be desired and lacks on many fronts. If they get a complaint from the entities they work for you will be fired and left in the dark. That company needs a union.

Fantastic experience: We have worked with STT for a number of years to provide security for a large community festival. We have been impressed with the customer service, which for us has included last minute additions of officers and overnight security.
