Fantastic experience: My wife and I both took the CPL class from Chuck and both loved it. Chuck, with his numerous years on the police force, has a wealth of knowledge and did an excellent job at conveying the information we needed to know to be safe. During the CPL training he allowed us to shoot any of his pistols so that we could find the one that suited us best. He made great recommendations and only sells you what works for you. He also put us through multiple situations to help learn how to use the gun (one-handed, non-dominant hand, kneeling, leaning around a barrier, etc.). Beyond just the gun safety training, he provided a lot of information on how to turn our home into a castle to help keep intruders out (deadbolts, window film, vegetation, etc.). I would highly recommend taking his CPL class!

As a retired LOCAL lawman he is familiar with the laws and crime in Flint, Genesee County and MI. He truely want to make sure you and your family will be safe and protected from criminals as well as the law. My dad has taken many CPL classes in his lifetime, but he said he never learned so much from a CPL class. Chuck's knowledge of weapons and laws from experience is invaluable. You cannot find a better class to be an informed citizen and gun owner. I cannot express how impressed I was with this facility and owner!

Fantastic experience: The CPL course taken was phenomenal, the instructor was knowledgeable, thorough and to the point. The shooting portion was managed extremely well with safety being a primary focus. This meant gun handling, both on range and at the line, personal instruction for each shooter from going live to firearm clearing and back to the bench. Cleanliness and a small class left time for practice examples and addressing any/all questions. I would recommend this course to others without question!

Fantastic experience: Chuck knows his stuff! The class was very informative and detailed about the laws of carrying and owning a weapon. Not only did he educate you on CPL he went beyond. Chuck gave us many many scenarios about situations one could be in and showed how to handle it effectively and safe as possible and let the last resort be to use your weapon. I’m so glad he doesn’t teach people to shoot first and shoot to kill like I’ve heard others say for years. It was an eye opener and a fear breaker for me. I’ve always been terrified of weapons and never owned one. After this class and hands on training it eased my fear a bit. Kudos to his team too! They were very helpful and professional during shooting training on the range.

The information in the packet he provides and the class he teaches sends you out prepared and informed. Chuck teaches in a way that is very personable, down to earth and hands on. The care and time he takes with each individual is invaluable. Chuck allows you to handle handguns during the class to better familiarize you with the ammo, the inner workings and the safe handling of the weapon. After everything i learned, I immediately recommended my adult children re-certify with Chuck. I will never take a class through any other company. I'm telling you, you will never leave a class of Chuck's disappointed or uneducated.

You learn a lot about guns and the new gun laws, and if some of them have changed. If you own a gun, I really recommend that you take some classes and be a responsible gun owner. Chuck is an amazing instructor, as a former police officer and police chief his experience and knowledge on gun laws and gun safety were unmatched. He was extremely charismatic and refreshingly honest about the precautions needed to safely defend oneself legally with a firearm. Which told me Chuck and his wife took pride in every aspect of their profession. Fantastic experience: I’ve learned so much about my gun the make and model, proper ammo that’s fit for me, lead free ammo which the safest, about what’s legal and what’s not legal, and so much more. The building is also very clean and organized. I was able to take refresher classes and it included target practice! I now feel so much more confident with my gun and able to protect myself if need be. I’m really looking forward to becoming a member next week!! I would recommend to all that needs training or refresher classes!

This course was packed with an insane amount of knowledge but Chuck made it enjoyable to learn with his humor and straightforward approach. He truly wants his students to understand not only the laws behind owning a gun but also takes personal safety and responsible handling to a much higher level. His teaching style makes it easy to understand and I really look forward to taking future classes!

Fantastic experience: Chuck’s a straight shooter, pun intended. Direct, informative and knowledgeable. The class may seem expensive, but it’s an 8hr course with ammo included, and the knowledge you get is worth more than you spent. Fantastic experience: This organization is first class. Chuck, the owner/instructor knows his stuff. He spent his career in law enforcement and will give you the knowledge you need to lawfully carry a concealed firearm and teach you when you can defend yourself legally. This is my first time applying for a CPL and with Chuck's training and classroom instruction I have knowledge that acquaintances of mine who have been around firearms their whole life didn't have. My wife also took the course with me. She was terrified of guns. After taking this class she now can load, unload and fire her revolver with no fear and has confidence in her ability to use her firearm. My 2 sons also took the class/training and will get their CPL when they turn 21.

Negative experience: Membership only and the only way to get a membership is to take their CPL class. I’ve tried to take classes but their full and have been full for a while. Their only allowed 200 memberships and currently have about 40-50 members now, which is lower than the 200 a year that they promote. Highly recommend not even going or reaching out to this place and the customer service is terrible if your not already a member

Fantastic experience: I read reviews prior to calling Chuck. Apparently the one person that wrote a negative review based off of the cost does not know the cost of ammo currently. Firearms and ammo are included in his costs. Plus, this is 8 hour ,in class training course which is more thorough than other courses. I was beyond pleased with the course and knowledge Chuck provided. Chuck personally has over 12,000 hours of training throughout his career. Extremely informative about the laws and very thorough w/ handgun and familiarization training. Chuck is a no-nonsense instructor. He teaches us what we need to know and more. I have already recommended my co-workers take his course. Amazing job Chuck.....Thank You Sir!!!!

I had very little experience with firearms, but due to Chuck's teaching, knowledge, and patience I am confident moving forward in handling a firearm.
