Fantastic experience: Mark Dionne made our PPS and PI classes fun! Our off-site practical exercises in the Hampton Roads area were excellent! We put into practice everything we were learning, including our motorcade tactics, our diamond and other PPS formations, and our PI static, mobile and foot operations. I felt well prepared for the DCJS written and range exams. Our teamwork amongst all of our fellow students made for a super educational experience. I learned a great deal from each of our PowerPoint book reports and other assignments as we reviewed these together. I plan to take all my DCJS renewal courses here. Positive experience: As a 37 year veteran of the Norfolk Police Department I would highly recommend Eagle Security Solutions for your training needs. I spent a week of training and was very impressed by the instructors Mark and John whom both are former military. Their methods and ethic's of training are the same as you would get from a well trained law enforcement academy. This is a Top Notch company that I would recommend to anyone.

Negative experience: My experience at ESS made me uncomfortable and made me not want to go back again. The people there were nice, however I did recognize some unprofessionalism with the instructors I had. I took 3 courses to get my armed security guard license. The first day in class we started late which I did not mind because I understand sometimes the instructor may have other errands to handle before class starts. However, the instructor was a bit of a hypocrite. The second day in the 01 class, one of the students was late and he pointed out her tardiness which I found to be hypocritical. Another example of unprofessionalism is that the firearm class I had to take we watched a few videos of police officers being killed while on the job. One of the videos showed an officer pulling over a Hispanic male. Unfortunately during the traffic stop the officer got shot several times by the Hispanic and later died. The instructor made an assumption that the Hispanic was probably an illegal immigrant. Also, for the arrest class the instructor started to dip in the middle of the lecture. I felt a bit grossed out, but I was trying to be understanding and not so judgmental because he mentioned he did have an addiction. During the lecture, I would try to ignore it by focusing on the PowerPoint or elsewhere when he was dipping (to be more specific I would turn my head whenever I knew he was about to spit in the bottle).

They provided me with the necessary training availability to fulfill my recertification needs. Fantastic experience: I don't even know where to begin.. The Eagle Security Solutions Academy has to be the best academy I have ever attended. I have been in Law enforcement for years and retired I have been in security for even longer and I was seeking something bigger and more. With that said I have attended The police academy an academy for certain security divisions and Mark Dionne and his Crew are so professional, personable and a great company and team all around. Instructor Mark Dionne is a highly experienced security professional across several disciplines and this was clear in his teaching. The class requires commitment and focus from aspiring PPS agents, there is a fair amount of reading and course study required. The practical exercises are immersive and feedback from instructor Dionne and his team is detailed, fair and enlightening. It was an intense 60 hr course that included classroom instruction, real life practicals, a book report, research project, and a final report along with a final exam. Again it’s intense but well worth it! Fantastic experience: I came across ESS a few years ago when needing to re-cert my PI Credentials. Finding a good reputable company capable of doing this is difficult to come by. Fantastic experience: I just finished the private investigator class on Sunday and it was excellent! Mark does an outstanding job of make the class fun and interesting all while learning the skills and laws you need to be successful. Mark and Erin do a great job at ESS, I will be taking the bail enforcement class later this month and I plan on taking the PPS course also. Fantastic experience: I just completed the basic Private Investigator course and I was very impressed. As a former LEO, I was interested in seeing just how much time they took explaining the applicable laws and legal procedure. They were spot on, thoroughly covering a wealth of information and experience. They also provided practice scenarios, getting you involved in practical surveillance and collecting intel. These people care about their work and the people they teach and serve!! Just know this, they will not just hand you a certificate. They will make you earn it! It’s a great investment of your money and your time!!

Fantastic experience: I have always been interested in investigation. I looked into the requirements for getting my PI license and did my own research into the area schools. I checked websites, reviews and did phone interviews. When I had completed my inquiries I chose to go with Eagle Security Solutions in Chesapeake. I live in Va Beach and chose Eagle for a number of reasons. #1. Evening classes. I really did not want to take a weeks’ vacation in order to complete this requirement. I was able to integrate this class’ schedule into my pre-existing work/life schedule without sacrificing my leave time. #2. Prompt response and follow through. I contacted several schools, several ways over many days and Eagle was friendly and prompt in answering all my questions. I have taken and completed the classes and one school has not gotten back to me yet. #3. The real deal. Although I was a complete novice going into this training I was hopeful that I would learn how to become a good private investigator. This is not a Pay-to-Stay class that will hand you a credential once the charge goes through. This is a comprehensive, detailed and rigorous course. It is an adult learner class for adult learners. There is a great deal that goes along with becoming a PI in the Commonwealth. Erin and Mark are experts in all things DCJS related. They provided instruction on getting an account, logging in, registration, finger printing, all separate from the 60+ hrs or coursework AND field training that they provide. On day one we are told what is expected and then we are off and running. There is reading and lecture and research and reporting. There is also, most importantly, real-life, in the field training and surveillance. No other school in the area offers this amount, variety of or level of In-the-field experience. We are taught by hearing, watching, touching and doing. Mark and Erin do a fantastic job as instructors, leaders and mentors both in the classroom and out in the field. You must be organized and self-driven. No one is going to baby you or remind you when assignments are due. It is a current class for today’s climate which means that technology is involved. You should have access to the internet and WIFI. Your smartphone will be your lifeline and there will be apps that you’ll have to use throughout the class for communications, surveillance, documentation and tracking. You will have to have space on your phone to download the apps and the data to run them. You will have to be a fairly good multi-tasker and attention to detail will be pivotal. Don’t stress because Mark and Erin will be there every step along the way. Mark is highly experienced and multi-disciplined. He is a tough but fair leader. Initially he does appear outwardly intimidating but in reality is a patient and understanding leader. It seems the goal of ESS is to prepare us for what lies ahead in this field and to provide a quality product. I have no regrets and would recommend Eagle Security Solutions Inc. one hundred times over. If you are thinking about signing up and just move forward; just do it. You’ll be so glad that you did. Fantastic experience: I had recently (December 2018) attended ESS for the PI course and it was a great experience. What I enjoyed most was that it was very thorough, as well as well rounded in its curriculum and in-field exercises. Actual exercises are not a mandated requirement to be certified by the DCJS; and so they really brings everything all together with actual application. Mark and Erin are great hosts, and Mark really puts real-life events and situations into perspective; as I believe this is the information and training most valuable that one needs to know in the private investigation filed. The monetary cost for the course was very reasonable, and the time slots (6pm-10pm) were fairly do-able considering most students have real-life obligations (work, family). Everyone I know is very interested in attending this course, considering that it is not very expensive and can improve an outside view of the investigative community. I very much recommend this course to anyone who is interested in human intelligence, analytical thinking, and the private investigative industry.

Fantastic experience: I recently took the PI class at Eagle. I learned so much in a short period of time, from the information we were given to getting out doing practicals, which helped better prepare us. Mark was an awesome instructor and kept my attention throughout the entire class. I'm very eager to learn more from him and Erin, who is also a great source of information for us. They are definitely people who has inspired me to want to do more in this field. I definitely recommend ESS. In fact I'm going back in a few weeks for another class.

Fantastic experience: I had the opportunity to enhance my legal knowledge and learn more of the criminal justice system. The academy atmosphere was relaxed and informal. It was a pleasure meeting both Erin and Mark. The Instructor, Mark Dionne, is approachable, and his years of experience brought intimate knowledge to the training classroom. And if you have any questions, make sure you ask. As a female learning the criminal justice system it was nice to be able to have and hear the perspective of Erin Dionne. You are given all the resources and opportunity to progress and learn, within this field. Approach the academy with an open mind and understand that you will make mistakes, just learn from those mistakes and you will succeed.

Fantastic experience: As a retired Marine with over 20 years in service I've had the opportunity to train all over the world and by far ESS is some of the best training I have ever received. There cadre of instructors are top shelf with real world experience to draw from. Mark is able to teach the beginner as well as the seasoned professional in an atmosphere that encourages learning. In a world of poser ESS is the real deal.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! Mark is the best instructor you can have. He made sure the class understood everything, took time out to answer so many questions and mostly would answer all my questions without me asking. He also took time out to show us exactly how to to grip a weapon, how to stance and showed us many different videos that helped us understand even more than what we already did! Erin is badass! She was always there to help out when we needed her. We went down to the range and she went over and beyond to help us out. She also had soo much information for the both of us! It was a blessing to be able to learn under them Both Mark and Erin are two amazing badass people! ❤️ I will most definitely be recommending them to anyone who will listen!
