Fantastic experience: Susan is an excellent Concealed Carry Instructor. She supports everyone owning/carrying a firearm while simultaneously advocating to avoid ever having to use it. It's important to hear all the non-lethal alternatives to using a firearm in self defense, and the trauma it can cause even if you use it appropriately. She adjusts your mental image of when you should and should not use your firearm. That is something I believe is very important especially with our younger generations.

Fantastic experience: Excellent class. Very knowledgeable. I am a former police officer and all ready had a CCW permit. Took the class with me wife so she could take it with someone. I still learned a few things. Every gun owner should take this class wether or not you decide to get a permit and you will learn from the class there are very good reasons to even if you’re state doesn’t require it!

Fantastic experience: My son bought my 17 year old daughter and I a gift card to this class for Christmas. We weren’t sure what to expect. Our instructor Becky was amazing! We told her that both my daughter and I are scared of guns and not around them a lot. Becky taught our ladies only class and was nothing but amazing! After our class ended, my daughter said “Mom, that was so much fun and I want to do this again!” I honestly went from being so scared of the gun I have, to feeling comfortable with being able to use it for self-defense if needed. Next step for me: conceal and carry. I didn’t think I would ever say that. Thank you Becky for teaching a wonderful class! You were amazing!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend taking a course by Susan! She is highly qualified (very important with an instructor, especially relating to guns/gun laws). There was so much information that I learned about gun laws. I would definitely recommend her courses to everyone, even if you don’t want to conceal carry. She does a great job keeping you involved in the class and answers any questions you may have.

Fantastic experience: I took a concealed carry class with Susan. She is very knowledgeable and gave us information from different perspectives. She teaches more than what is required by the state, so you can be an extremely responsible gun owner/carrier. Even though you don’t need a concealed carry license in Kansas, this class is super important so you know the laws and your rights. Susan teaches how to conceal and carry practically, and how to handle any self defense situation. Just because something is legal, doesn’t mean it is the best option. She teaches you what the best options are for various situations and in general. I highly recommended this class to anyone, even if you don’t plan to carry a concealed gun.

Fantastic experience: This was a great experience! I highly recommend every gun owner takes the CCHL class. The course goes over so much information and it really adjusts your outlook on what being a concealed carrier is. I will definitely come back to take in more information from the other courses. Susan is a great instructor and made the entire day a fun and enlightening experience.

Fantastic experience: Really nice facility! You don't know what you don't know until you do! I've taken the ladies handgun class as well as the conceal carry class from Susan. I was surprised how well she kept us engaged through the class. Susan's background is extensive and she'll show you how to be safe and smart. She also has some great products for sale. Fantastic experience: My Conceal Carry class at NAV was one of the best classes I have ever taken! Suzie provided us information that dispelled so many misconceptions regarding the true meanings / purposes of self defense, conceal and carry, responsibilities to protect others (or not). I left the class feeling so much more prepared / confident as to if / when to carry my weapon on my person. I learned the basics of home self defense as well what to do / not do in the event of a home invasion. I would HIGHLY recommend EVERY gun owner to take this class regardless if you plan to carry or not!

Fantastic experience: Amazing training, will definitely be returning for future trainings. Concealed carry is legal in Kansas but the information/tools provide really helps build confidence in carrying and provided the knowledge of the laws that cover when and where the use of deadly force is acceptable.

I have taken CCW courses in other states and typically they cover when and how to shoot. Very little on options and deescalation. I would recommend this course.

Fantastic experience: Such a great class not only because Susan is probably one of the most knowledgeable instructors out there about all these subjects than most instructors claim to be because she has a great background in law enforcement and many other things, and she gives you all the correct information you need for any circumstance and will answer all your questions in the most informative way! Fantastic experience: I took my Kansas CCW with Not A Victim today and it was AMAZING! I highly recommend taking this class even though KS is open carry. The class was so informative and well worth it. If you are wanting your CCW you should really go through Not A Victim!!!

Fantastic experience: I took the Ks & Mo CCW class with Susan. It was a great class and truly helped to clear up questions I had along with a whole lot of additional information that I hadn't even thought about. Even though Ks does not require a permit to carry, the class is well worth the time and low-cost to gain a better understanding of how you should act and what you should do to mitigate your risk when having to use force to defend yourself. If you don't apply for a physical permit, I would at least recommend the course for the information alone. All of the staff was awesome and I will look to take additional classes in the coming year.

Fantastic experience: I attended a Conceal and Carry class on 02-28-21 with Susan Hutchcraft. If you are new to firearms or an old pro, you will enjoy her classes. The classes are interactive, flow well and keep you engaged. This won’t be the only class of hers I attend. The facility was super clean and comfortable. Thanks NAV for all you do for women. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic experience: I walked away wondering how any gun owner could NOT take this course. A lot of my misconceptions were cleared up here, and the facilitator, Grant, was entusiastic and passionate on making sure everyting was understood. Informal yet informative, great non intimidating group involvement. The background of facilitators with this group is amazing. And they made it a point to make it affordable, too.

Fantastic experience: This class was well worth the money and I think every gun owner should take it. I will never think of my firearm as anything but the last resort and only in a life threatening situation. Only wish we had bought a couple of those cool knives she had for sale at the class. I guess I'll get one when my wife takes some of the other classes offered by Not A Victim.

It's an 8 hour class, but she manages to keep you interested, which most instructors don't succeed in doing. I don't think anyone should own a gun without this class, whether your going to carry it or not. Educating yourself is just the responsible thing to do.
