Fantastic experience: Great coursework. Training is getting to learn important rules to qualify. Bryan our instructor explained clearly every step of our training. All the students learned information we never knew, laws, regulations and hands on teaching. I really enjoyed the class learning from and lessons. Our instructor Bryan was very detailed in the class. Fantastic experience: This is probably the best class I have ever taken. The instructor was on his game. For his experiences, training, and knowledge of law enforcement, he can’t be topped! Firearms training was very professional and safe. The lessons were taught on a level that everyone could understand. The support staff were also there for us if needed. The classroom had everything we needed to train. Even the break room was nice with coffee and a variety of snacks. Thanks to everyone there for their support and help with furthering my career.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best security training/class I’ve ever attended! Mr. Byron Frank is an excellent instructor and definitely knows what he’s talking about! Another thing I liked was we got the chance to meet the owner who’s also cool as well! The front desk staff was also super polite and on testing day they made us homemade chocolate chip cookies lol! I’ll definitely be back to get my level 4/ppo license!

Fantastic experience: I chose it because it was the closest training school for my commission security license and end it up being one of the greatest training I have had since I started doing security for a living. It has been a 5-day 8-hours-per-day course covering a lot of stuff starting from laws, self defense tactics and of course we went to the range to put theory in practice. It is a medium size building but they have a kitchen so if you bring your own lunch you can sit it in the fridge and keep it fresh, next to it you will have a little table with chairs so you can eat your food and watch TV. In that same area you will have a coffee machine, some drinks and chips (it cost you a dollar each), across the hall you will have the classroom with a great trainer. Not a person that has read the laws and wants you to do the same thing but instead, a very well trained person with law enforcement and security background and very good at teaching. He will explain everything so you can understand the laws that apply while doing your job on the field and take some examples from his experience. They will provide us with a shirt that will say "top gun" so we can take a picture with the whole class (that is a little detail that counts a lot). The building has a parking lot, small, but big enough for everyone attending the class. Five smooth days in a row, very enjoyable experience.

Fantastic experience: Byron J. Frank is a overqualified instructor. He provided examples and talked about his experiences. Helped everyone in the class that came from different experience levels. It was a hands on environment and to Top Gun Security & Investigations staff was amazing. Provided help with the registration process and was very friendly. On the last day of training provided us with cookies. Made my stay in Houston from Austin very pleasant. Overall my experience here at Top Gun was far beyond what I expected. It was worth the drive from Austin.

Fantastic experience: I didn’t know what to expect when I first signed up for the level 3 class, or if I should even sign up for it since I was traveling from San Antonio. I can honestly say that right from the beginning, my interaction with Robin was very positive. She was very responsive to my (many) questions and made me feel like taking the class would be worth it. Upon arrival, we met the Instructor (Byron Frank) and I KNEW I had made the right decision. Byron is without a doubt, amongst the best Instructors I have ever encountered. I don’t say this lightly, having taken many courses and training throughout my 33 years as a federal law enforcement officer. Meeting the owner on the first day was also very impressive and meaningful to me. Top Gun is a “Top Notch” place to train and Byron Frank is a “Top Notch” Instructor. Having him on the staff of a professionally run academy is a “WIN” and when/if I return for further training I will make the trip from San Antonio again without hesitation. I learned a lot and am grateful to have taken the level 3 class. I will highly recommend any of the courses to anyone who wishes to continue their education or start a career as a Security Officer.

Fantastic experience: I believe that I received the best Level III State of TX Private Security Officer training offered in the state and possibly the nation. My instructor, Byron Frank had impeccable, EXTENSIVE, (30 plus years) multi-agency law enforcement career. The firearms training (handgun AND shotgun training) he provided FAR exceeded my expectations. I am leaving Top Gun and believe that their “top” reputation in the private security industry will help me obtain a job immediately, even with NO military or law enforcement background. I am also retuning next week to take the Level IV Personal Protection Officer (bodyguard) training from Byron next week!

Fantastic experience: My friend and I took the private investigator certification class from Ace Mangaya and it was far more than we expected. Ace's charisma, experience,knowledge and teaching style made it feel much more like a one on one experience. Ace comes across as someone who truly wants you to succeed and be more than prepared to transition into this type of field. He holds your attention the whole time making the time go by quickly. If you are wanting to take a class /certification that Ace teaches I highly recommend you take it from him if possible. You will definitely get what you paid for plus much more.

Fantastic experience: I called Top Gun investigations because someone set up a fake Facebook account in my name and began writing disgusting things about my friends and I. When some friends called me about it, I had no idea. It took Mark and his team roughly a week to track down the party responsible and it turned out to be an ex-girlfriend. I think Top Gun and there cyber investigators can find anything about anyone! They solved my embarrassing issue quickly and I am grateful for it.
