Negative experience: Wasted time and money. Failed to deliver any new information. Although the owner promised and agreed to communicate weekly with updates or lack there of; once we paid our money we had to place many calls/emails with the company to get an update. When he did finally communicate the information , what we received was nothing new. All information given were information we already knew about our missing person and had shared with them. No accountability where the funds were used. Refused to return funds or balance of $1200 when we terminated the contract for lack of communication. , Ended with lost time and funds. This company was unable to support anything more than computer research. I would NOT recommend this company

Fantastic experience: I have a large judgement against an individual and need to find out where their assets could be together with other relevant information about them. Mike at Toltec was very informative and thorough, they did an extensive background check which discovered personal and business records from several states and gave me a ton of "ammunition" to use with my collection attorney. They also have a wide variety of investigation services that I may consider in the future. In our time, information is the most valuable thing so the ROI on getting the best information is pretty much infinite. Highly recommend getting a discovery call to see if you case can benefit from some investigative research. I hope not to need to use them again but surely will if I ever have more needs.

Negative experience: I chose this company solely based on the reviews. Bad idea! I now wonder if any of them are even real! I had a phone consultation with Shawna on a Wed morning, she was going to send me an email requesting information and another email with link for payment. I did not receive either. I had to send a text requesting her to send the emails. Then she asked if I was serving any papers. I am sure they are busy but I had just talked with her that morning and she clearly didn’t recall the conversation. I submitted payment Wed night. Thurs afternoon I asked if they received payment or what the next steps were. Friday she responded working on the case. Monday I asked how long it would take, and honestly I’m not in any kind of hurry I just literally was getting no communication and had no clue how long it would take. She said I would have the report that day. Nothing. Tuesday I said I didn’t receive the report and she said check junk. Nope not in junk. She is out of town right now and will get to it when she can, but they didn’t find anything. Basically I wasted $300 and with all of the lies and terrible communication I don’t eve I think they tried. And in response to Mike I am not referring to another company who also has a Shawna working there. Theo is my dogs name I post under this account for privacy.

Fantastic experience: My son and I have been working on settling a family members estate. We needed the title to one of the Cars to be able to sell it. The vehicle had never been retitled after purchase and all the paperwork from the sale was missing. I tried everything I knew to track down the previous owner with no luck. All I had to go on was the expired out of state license tag that the previous owner left on the vehicle. I decided to try a private investigator and found Toltec Investigations after doing a little internet research. I called and spoke with Shawna, a very helpful woman who took my information and told me to expect a call from Michael Jaczewski. This was on the Thursday before Easter weekend......on Friday I got the promised call from Michael who seemed very interested in helping. By Wednesday of the following week he had all the information I needed!! My son contacted the previous owner who will apply for a lost title and send it to us. Michael Jaczewski is a very courteous, pleasant and efficient man, he is the founder of Toltec and apparently does a full range of investigative work. I would highly recommend his services.
