Negative experience: Do not use! James has great reviews, and a sales pitch touting his services but I paid him $250 and basically conducted the investigation myself. His wise idea was to lure a contractor who stole $4200 from me, by bating him with an exciting job to repair 2 toilets. Not shocked that plan didn’t work. Suspect needed served by a deadline and James wasn’t even keeping track of that! Needless to say, our suspect was not located, was not served, and I am still out my money and costs are accruing . James’ last message to me was letting me know he treats all of his clients like family. He also took multiple opportunities to bash the efforts of the Denver county sheriff, yet his outcome was exactly the same. He did give me the option to pay more for more work, and attempted to provide words of encouragement by telling me this can take up to 2 years. Save your money and spend $30 to run a background check on someone yourself. Call all the numbers and associates. I’ve asked for a refund multiple times and I’m still waiting to receive one. Thanks for getting our hopes up James.

Negative experience: I contacted James Albee on roughly June 2nd 2022 to discuss his fees as it would relate to the investigating and preservation of a car crash scene of that my son was involved in on May 30, 2022. A fee of $2500 was agreed upon to thoroughly photograph the roadway where the accident occurred in order to preserve skid marks , drag marks etc. James Albee would also interview witnesses and assist in obtaining traffic camera video along with researching and providing documentation on the frequency of car crashes on this stretch of road. James assured me that our first meeting would be on June 06 2022 the day that he would photograph the scene. I sent James his quoted fee of $2500 and then asked for his recommendation of an attorney. He made a strong recommendation and we hire the law firm that he recommended. Since hiring James Albee, I have made numerous phone calls to him requesting the work that he agreed to produce for us. Our attorney, the same Law Firm James recommended to us, has also reached out numerous time with little to no response . September 09, 2022 will be our 2nd court date that we will be making without any of the material that James Alber was hired to provide for us or, our attorney. My request for a refund of his fee has gone unanswered. Is James Albee the type of person that you can trust?

Negative experience: As I was winding down my firm, I was handed a stack of invoices from Metro Intelligence which apparently had not been paid. I did not know that was the case (this was an inter office issue, not a Metro issue) until they were handed to me, which sucked. It was over $2,000. I was obviously horrified but assured them I would pay them. Then the pandemic struck, which means the client who was supposed to pay me did not for a LONG time and the PPP funds we applied for did not come through either. On May 5, 2020, I got notice I did in fact receive payment from a client so I immediately reached out to Metro Intelligence to ask for a final balance so I could pay off what I owed them. They notified me they had already filed a bar complaint against me. As an attorney, this is a very serious step and I think other lawyers should be aware of this action.

Fantastic experience: Metro Intelligence Agency, a Denver Private Investigator went beyond what they needed to do. I was managing a bar, and the current owner wanted to share it with someone else. Which was fine we get business, but once he brought in this guy he wanted to go part owners with no one liked him and got a "bad" vibe. We just didn't trust him. He seemed sketchy. After he'd been there for a few weeks he started sexually talking to me and the other girls. We told him to stop and he didn't. We all brought it to the ray (the owner at the time) and all he could say is that we were making it up, and that he was a good person. We didn't trust him so I decided to hire a PI. There were plenty of "john smiths" out there and they searched through every single one to find the right one. Once he found the correct "john smith" there were records upon records. This Denver Private Investigator found out he was actually running from outstanding warrants. Wasn't aloud to be around children due to previous convictions.
