Fantastic experience: Excellent work with a difficult audio file.

Fantastic experience: I contacted Primeau Forensics for assistance with the sound from a video file containing a background conversation important to a criminal defense investigation. In the original video, the conversation is 100% inaudible primarily because of a substantial reverb in the acoustics of the large rooms they were speaking within, and also because the conversation took place in multiple rooms other than the room that was recording the video. Primeau Forensics handled the case in a very professional manner and produced a file where some of the dialogue was clear. I look forward to working with Ed Primeau again in the future. Fantastic experience: I'm the HR Assistant of a home health care business and one day out of nowhere my laptop seemed to have deleted all of my files, documents and work. I spent a good 2 hours trying to figure out what had happened to my work and even went to Geek Squad at Best Buy to see if they could recover my files. After over an hour, the gentleman helping me could not find my files and I went into full panic mode! My best friend came back to my house and looked up different computer system repair places and found one that seemed pretty promising, but after speaking to a representative he mentioned that I would have to mail my computer to them which could take weeks to receive back and the cost ranged from $600-$2,000. They were also out of state. I asked about the address that was online which was only 20 minutes away from my house and asked if I could go in person and see if someone could help me or at least tell me where my files were. He said there was no harm in trying. My boyfriend and I rushed to the address since they would be closing within 20 minutes when we arrived and hoped for the best. We pull up and the address lead us to Primeau Forensics and were welcomed by Michael Primeau. I explained everything and he invited us inside to take a look at my laptop. We weren't there for more than 3 MINUTES and he found all of my work! I immediately started crying because I couldn't believe he had found absolutely everything, downloaded everything to a hard drive stick (which he gave us for free), and didn't even charge me anything. I swear I thought he was an angel LOL...All that he asked was if I could leave a review. So here I am! This man did in less than 3 minutes what Geek Squad attempted to do in over an hour. We were initially told the recorder was not working leading up to a crash that resulted in the death of an individual. Fantastic experience: I contacted Ed Primeau after my dog was attacked and the dog owner refused to pay the veterinary bills because he said my dog attacked his dog first. I was able to get a video clip of the attack from a neighbor's security camera three houses away but it was blurry and hard to see. Primeau Forensics was able to enhance the video, slow it down and provide me with screen shots of the incident, split seconds before the attack, and video loops that I could take to court. After seeing the enhanced video evidence the judge ruled in my favor! The judge ordered the defendant to pay all medical, legal and video enhancement costs. I would never have been able to win the case without the enhanced video work from the Pimeau Forensics group. Negative experience: If you need help with police body camera footage this is NOT the place to go. I paid $1500 to have footage analyzed for tampering. Mr Primeau verbally stated that it was not tampered with. There are so many areas of the footage that were tampered with. No, not caused by compression. Look at the photos and you decide.

Negative experience: I hire Primeau to work on a case for me. Not sure what made me different for the rest of their clients, but weeks went by no response. They took my money and work on my project for a few hours. I choose Ed because the company had great reviews. My advice is if you choose their service just pray you are the client they actually care about. If they feel you are someone less important then you get horrible service.

It was a relief when you shared your knowledge of forensic videography and your exerience with the criminal justice system. You told me that what was being held out as video evidence was not credible at all and explained why. That provided a great deal of peace of mind. I am just a regular person who had a 30 year old VHS tape of her children and family members that was apparently ruined when I used a machine to transfer it to DVD. Devastated at the loss but unwilling to completely give up, I found Mr. Primeau's website and sent him an email. Though his inbox must be inundated with emails from important law enforcement and media people who need his forensic help, Mr. Primeau treated my problem as though it were of the utmost importance. He responded to my inquiry within hours with a thoughtful and informative email and a plan for where I could mail the tape and how he would approach the problem. Hours after Mr. Primeau received the damaged tape, he called to give me the glorious news that he would be able to salvage nearly all of it!! He communicated with me often along the way as he made me DVDs and a thumb drive. Then, Alex worked with me to get the new DVD here in time to show it to my adult children who were visiting. Mr. Primeau showed me great kindness and respect. He was able to save all but a few seconds of footage and the DVDs are of much better quality than the original tape. I will forever be grateful to him for using his amazing skills to give me back my memories!!!

Negative experience: I received credentials from two technicians, then a third person ended up doing all the work and kept in touch with me by e-mail. I never saw any proof that the work was done and they told me they found nothing. They could not tell me what was making the noise or the lights. A waste of $750.00.
