Negative experience: Poor accountability. Drive like maniacs, passing people on shoulders. No level of customer service, hung up on me twice when trying to file a complaint, was the person driving. Wouldn’t trust them to patrol for you, can’t trust them to get anywhere safely. Good luck if you choose this company. This is the idiot that passed on the shoulder on a two lane.
Negative experience: Don’t treat employees well and are unreliable to get in contact with despite multiple times of providing info

Negative experience: Called December 7th, January 4th, and January 5th for a quote. My info was "taken down" each time and no one got back to me. These guys were recommended by our previous security company.

Negative experience: Zero issues with this company except for one of their employees constantly harassing my spouse and taking pictures of my personal vehicle. Even went to threaten my in-laws with a fine for them unloading their vehicle. Called to say something and all they said is that the guy was new and hanged up. Ridiculous.

Negative experience: Awful! Have zero priorities and TONS OF POOR EXCUSES! Have been using them for several years for a 200 unit apartment complex that I manage. They’ve gone down hill. Calls for service take hours, if they arrive. Laundry rooms and pool not unlocked or locked at the correct times, sometimes forgotten. Am currently looking for a new security company that keeps up their end of the bargain. Don’t waste your time or money, all you’ll get are A LOT OF LOUSY EXCUSES!!!
Negative experience: I prefer not to go to this company because they are discrimination they are not good also they got bad attitude once you have a problem with other coworkers they will not stop it they will let it happen and one day they fire you in couple of weeks when I was there for couple of weeks then they fired me and be careful because they can lie about you if you talking to someone really good as friends they will think you are interacting with other coworkers and that will be a lie they are not friendly at all cause they will turn there back on you
Ms. Barrios, We appreciate you're not happy with your separations from DSS. Due to State Laws we are not able to reply to your accusations, since personnel issues are private. What we can address is your statements you've have made. They are absolutely false, and can be backed up by our investigations into the situations surrounding your claim. Along with statements of witnesses involved. Any and all reported claims from our staff are looked into immediately. Will any and all concerns investigated and addressed in a timely manner. We wish you better luck in your future endeavors with hope you look back on this as a learnable moment to better yourself. We thrive because of our staff and do everything we can to assist them and grow them within our company. Without our professional and dedicated staff, DSS would not be where it is today.

Negative experience: Do NOT waste one second of your time on this company. At this point, I’d feel safer having a homeless person do security at my business!!
If you would like to private message us I would like to understand why you feel this way, and provided a client and business name if you are our client. We are really confused on this one because all our business owners are completely happy with our services.The only way we would be able to correct and improve is from our supervisor oversight and constructive information from individuals as yourself that may of had a bad experience.
Negative experience: MY PLACE HAD GOTTEN BROKEN INTO SECURITY CAME OUT IMMEDIATELY AND TOOK PICTURES AND EVEN GOT MY ID TO MAKE REPORT...I DID FOLLOW-UP NEXT BUSINESS DAY WITH MANAGER TO MAKE SURE SHE HAD GOTTEN ALL INFORMATION..SHE CONFIRMED SHE DID BUT WHEN IT WAS TIME TO GET INFO TO INSURANCE COMPANY... NOBODY KNEW ANYTHING NOR REPORTS ON FILE... WENT BACK AND FORTH AND NOBODY KNOW ANYTHING NOT GOOD COMPANY FOR HIRE BECAUSE IF SOMETHING HAPPENS THEY'RE NOT GOING TO PROVIDE YOU WITH ANYTHING WHEN IT'S YOUR INFORMATION AND EVERYONE LYING...
If you would like to message us privately I could look into this situation. However, when it comes to residential burglaries the reporting agencies that should be used in these cases are your local authorities. A Private Security company's roll in these cases are to report to the client that a burglary took place on property and if law enforcement was dispatch. Not to perform a burglary investigation, that would be out of the scope of work for security officers.

Not exactly sure what you would doubt the credibility of our company. We are always willing to listen to factual constructive criticism so we can constantly improve. Mr Mares, We have an interview process and complete background check for all our new staff. As well go though a 4 hour orientation for all new staff. As longs as the individual meets our expectations and state requirements we will give individuals a shot at a position. However, integrity is also big with our organization and if we find a staff member had lied during interview can be detrimental in violation of our integrity policy.
Negative experience: Always harassing tenant, never stopping crimes. The crime has went up drastically since this company was hired around here. Almost seems like they have something to do with it.
Mr. Symens, I can assure you we are not responsible for crime increasing in your area. The only reason we would be in contact with tenants is if we where requested to make contact or to contact the tenant for a complaint or a violation of the property rules we are hire to assist in enforcing. We observe and report as required by our client and contact law enforcement if a crime is being committed if we observe the violation.
Negative experience: The star is only because we have to put something! My daughter lives at the Avery apt and had her car towed out of her stall. When I called West Coast Towing they were rude and kept saying the car was parked illegally. To make a long story short they didn't care that she is paying for the stall they just tow what ever car the security guard thinks doesn't belong there! Now after reading the reviews on here and seeing the DSS vehicles parked at the Tow yard I know these guys are in cahoots!! This should be illegal and they should both go out of business!
The security company for the property your daughter lives at is Vigilant Private Security NOT DSS. I can understand the confusion but your negative rating about our company and accusations are not warranted or correct. We do not service that property and would have no say in regards to the towing policy or authority. If you have a complaint about the security company that services that property I suggest giving them a call. Negative experience: Let me start off with I do security work aswell, I got home at 6:10 am to find my neighbors truck was broken into and 2 other vehicles aswell. I called Dds security to inform them of what happened, after about 5 min someone finally answered, I told them who I was, were I was and my apt number, and informed them of what was going on. I spent 45 minutes talking to my neighbor whating on them to send someone out. After the 45 minutes we went back to are apt. When I was leaving for work at 9pm my neighbor told me that they finally showed up at noon, ruffly 6 hours later. How can you run a security company like that? The cops came by and took his report at 8 am. I really DON'T RECOMMEND DSS SECURITY. I dont usually go on to Google but to update this and To answer you question, I was trained by the department of defense USA. I took 2 year class not a 1 day class like most security guards from 2001 to 2003. I now have 17 years of work experience in security. I still have the pictures of the vehicles that were broken into. But your dispatch should of had my phone number and apartment number that I gave them. Apparently they didn't bother taking the info when it was given. I will not hand out my neighbor's info, I believe that it is private, but I am still willing to talk with anyone about this incident.

Negative experience: DSS is contracted for our HOA, the old security would knock on people's doors if they were parked improperly DSS just tows them with West Coast towing who conveniently is owned by the same owner as DSS. Edit: DSS and Hallace Inc. (West Coast Towing) both registered to 1704 E Bullard Ave, Fresno, CA 93710. I never said I wasn't parked illegally, just that we used to get a noticed before our HOA switched to your two companies.
Hello Mr. Miller First I would like to address that your vehicle was in a fire lane which is a automatic tow according to your CC&R’s of your HOA. You can pick up a copy of your CC&R’s from your management company. This vehicle was not observed by our security team member as it was before our guard was on duty. DSS Security does store their vehicles at West Coast Towing for the safety of the vehicles behind a locked gate. I am sorry you are mistaken by the perception of our Vehicles. If you would like to discuss further you can give us a call at 559-429-6637 and ask for a supervisor. However your bad review was not based on any of the services we provide.

Fantastic experience: DSS Security is very professional and hire only the best. I've seen the officers working very closely with local law enforcement so it shows that they have a good relationship with pd. This is a great thing to have in a security company. The security officers are very knowledgeable about crimes and how to handle incidents appropriately. The officers are always dressed appropriately and neat compared to other companies I've seen. The officers are always very willing to help and are effective in solving problems that they encounter. This is truly the best security company and they take pride in their employees and the good work they do.

Fantastic experience: This company is amazing! These bad reviews must be from someone that security had to be called on. Because that is the only thing that makes sense honestly. I've personally seen security get called on people and when they responded they were polite, professional even when the patron was hostile and wrongful. So the only thing that makes sense to me is the bad reviews come from someone who got security called on them. Also they have highly trained staff and are veteran friendly! Out of curiosity I asked what services they offered and they offer such a wide variety including executive protection. Shoot I may have to drop an application myself! A must hire if you're looking for sercurity for any reason. Won't get much better than this! I also went back to see Nicole I believes other reviews. She seems to be entitled to give nothing but bad reviews. So I wouldn't take the word from an unhappy person.

Completely ridiculous Staff is unprofessional, hostile,have no business carrying a fire arm especially at a family themed events I do not recommend this company at all !!!!!! I repeat DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY .... Response to owner! No need to discuss or understand anything I'm very aware of what your company offers and what guidelines you follow and your employees were completely out of line and acted extremely aggressive with a firearm around small children uncalled for!
