Fantastic experience: Jan provided unbelievable investigative assistance, traversing Raleigh and its surroundings for a solid day in search of someone who had not lived at the last address we had for him for a few years and had no family in the surroundings. She was amazing, indefatigable, determined, upbeat, and ultimately successful. Working with her (she was trying to find a long-ago-moved-away witness in my case) was a wonderful, eye-opening, and fun (!) experience. She was a consummate professional in every respect, including in the tactful and respectful way in which she spoke with the witness and gently encouraged him to do the right thing and admit that he had perjured himself years earlier and the way that she handled the witness when he returned and provided an affidavit. She was very high-tech, with an impressive array of gadgets to record and wide-ranging databases to search. And she had long-term, personal knowledge of people and places in Raleigh that contributed to our success — all in all a tour de force.
