Negative experience: It's unfortunate that this company has resorted to the practice of charging people predatory fees for services people can do on their own. Every US state has an "Unclaimed Property" website that allows you to research, find, and claim unpaid wages or other unclaimed assets for yourself or other family members (deceased or alive). This company uses that same website, sends you a letter stating they have found unclaimed money for you and then wants to charge you a 25% finders fee!!! You could submit a claim without their help FOR FREE!!! If their finders fee was more reasonable, I wouldn't even be posting this review. Don't be FOOLED and go do your own research. You'll save yourself alot of time (it takes them months longer as a third party to process your claim) and money.

Once their review was complete, they advised that it would 3-4 months to receive the money. 4 months later, I received a check from the state.

Fantastic experience: If you are wondering if this company is legitimate, they are. My wife was able to get an 80% reimbursement on some old funds that were in her name (linked to an old mortgage or escrow account, I can't completely recall), which we did not know about until we were informed by Heirfinders. The process took about 4 months from start to finish (actual check in the mail) but a large part of that delay was due to us not being as responsive as we should have been, and the fact that the funds were tied up in Hawaii. We are completely satisfied with Heirfinders, and didn't mind one bit that they take a commission on the recovered funds to cover their services.

Fantastic experience: I was suspicious when I first received a letter from them, but after they persisted, I decided to try doing some research into them. I couldn't find anything at all to suggest that they weren't legitimate, so I took a chance and responded. And I am most certainly glad that I did! They helped me locate over $3000 in lost assets that I didn't even know existed. Basically free money! They did all the hard work for me, and the payment they asked in return was just a modest 10%, and they didn't ask for any of it until the very end; not until after I'd received my check. Would 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience: I was heir to some money that my brother left me when he passed via some MetLife Stock that he had. I tried on my own to claim the money but found that there were multiple hoops to jump through. I hit a brick wall and no one seemed able or willing to help me figure out what to do. MetLife was no help either. In the process of time, my husband and I moved from the state that we had originally tried to make a claim to another state . Fantastic experience: I thought for sure it was a scam since I had received another letter from a different company a couple months prior, just like the one I received from Heirfinders. Since I was sceptical the lady on teb phone offered to send me all the owners licenses and even told me to investigate the company myself before moving forward. As I did, I found them to be a real legitimate company! I did the paperwork I needed to do and received my money within 3-4 weeks! If they contact you saying you have money available to you, do the paperwork. I would definitely recommend this company.

Fantastic experience: To be honest when I received a letter in the mail from this company I thought it was a scam, I called them asked 101 questions. All I can say now is a big Thank you to Heirfinders Reserach Assocociates. I would have never know of this money just sitting in the hands of the county I once lived in. They are a legit company that has wonderful customer service and will keep you informed of everything that is going on as the process begins. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I never even knew that I was owed money until I got a letter from Heirfinders. I read the letter thinking that it might be one of those fraud mailers like you see so often in E-mail nowadays. I talked to a friend of mine and he did some checking and told me that, from what he could find, they seemed legit. So I contacted them by phone. It turns out that it was in fact money owed to me, a lot of it! I was stoked! I filled out all the paperwork and sent it in to them, and then figured I might get the money somewhere around the middle of the year. Low and behold, I got a check months earlier than I thought I would!. My check was more than enough to take care of getting me what I needed and a few other things besides. Thank you Heirfinders!
