Fantastic experience: Fantastic training! 5 out of 5, highly recommend! The tier 5 class was a better tactical weapons class than any pre-deployment training in the Marine Corps. AR-to-handgun transitions, shooting with movement, off-hand and degraded physical ability drills were first-rate and all were based on potential real-world scenarios. The medical training at the beginning was a great wake-up call to refresh past combat lifesaver training. I plan on returning with my family to do the handgun shoot and move training and am very interested in their vehicle combat course (defending and fighting your way out of a vehicle). Fantastic experience: Absolutely worth the time and money. The classes are much better than their youtube videos suggest. I highly recommend. I went through the tier V with some veterans and we all thought is was great training. This training is the difference between a good marksman and being a good gunfighter. I'd really like my family members to go next. I also appreciated the medical classes to being me up to speed on current medical practices regarding tourniquets and chest valves - Matt McBride USMC (ret)

Fantastic experience: The tier 4 class covered everything from fundamentals to advanced scenarios. The instructors were patient and informative. I learned a lot and look to advance my training with ATS further. Very well worth the time and money!! Thanks ATS!!

Fantastic experience: The Tier8 Executive Protection lvl1 course as trained by the guys at ATS is excellent. They really know the businesses & understand training from fundamentals upward to build proficiency and confidence in students. The training being different from my usual hard tactical work, it was a lot more than expected. As a security company owner, I push to provide the best services possible & these guys deliver high grade training for such purposes. I'll be returning for advanced training ASAP & sending my people here as well. If you're interested in great training for defense, security or tactical you want to go to the ATS training facility in GA!

Fantastic experience: Completed the 10.0 hour session Tier 4 UTF with Mike and Dave. These guys were not only elite professionals, but they both had the patience to work with me on my weaknesses while highlighting my strengths. Will definitely return for rifle training in a few months!

Fantastic experience: I have 2 separate reviews. I set up a level 1class for our work employees and family. Nothing but rave reviews from all. Everybody enjoyed it, learned a lot, and interest in the subjects taught has skyrocketed and actually produced results of continued learning. Couldn't be happier especially for a typically hard to please group. Later, I took the Teir 4 class. I had a blast. Well run class. Safe. Learned a lot. Training worth the money and time. Just good stuff. Will be attending further training.

Fantastic experience: Spent a really engaging and challenging day with Tom and team running their shoot house in Georgia. The knowledge and experience ATS instructors have really shows when you get into those doors and hallways. The training is very practical and scenario based, and that gives it a sense of realism instead of just theory. They took a handful of people who never met before that morning and, by the end of the day, had us working rooms super effectively as a single cohesive team. Definitely recommend time with Tom and his team for anyone who wants to elevate their CQB and develop some basic teamwork.

Fantastic experience: My church security team took part in the tactical shooting class specifically designed for dealing with the threats churches are facing across the nation. The training was not only real world and professionally taught, it helped to show how we can better protect and serve our congregation. I can't thank the shooting instructors enough for their attention to detail and subject matter experience. Looking forward to signing up for additional tier training. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I got my CCW license and wanted some good, realistic training. I don't want military-type training, I'm not going looking for trouble, I want real-world scenario personal protection training and I found it with ATS. I'm aware of the potential legal nightmare if I have to draw my firearm, and want to make sure I only do it if I really need to. The Tier 3 training class covered this thoroughly. Between the classroom instruction and the drills we ran at their shooting compound, I have a very good grasp of what to do when I need to do it. Far more informative than the CCW license class I took. Tom has an extensive background in VIP personal protection, and with his assistant trainer were both very helpful in helping me gain the confidence I want to carry in public. I'm already signed up for the Tier 4 training, and I'll see if I can benefit from his more advanced classes. My goal is I want to know how to protect myself and anyone in my immediate area within a variety of deadly encounters. There's going to be a lot more of them. It's my life, and I trust ATS to train me to live through most any horrible situation.

Fantastic experience: Just completed training with ATS. My confidence now versus just 12 hours ago is night and day. Tom and his team were knowledgeable, patient and made me a much better tactical shooter. The training in class was also top notch and gave me a lot of background into the legal implications of conceal carry all should know. I am going back. The energy level was fantastic and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to build skills and confidence with their side arm!

Fantastic experience: I attended the NRA Pistol course offered by ATS in Ellijay, GA. I highly recommend Tom and his crew. He did a fantastic job of working with us throughout the day for our classroom portion as well as at the shooting range. He was very patient and knowledgeable in all aspects of the content. This is a great class for beginners or people interested in becoming an instructor like myself. ATS, Tom, offers other NRA courses as well. I will be using ATS for my future classes.

Fantastic experience: Very glad I took tier 2 firearm class. It was exactly what I needed to gain the comfort and knowledge in owning a gun. Gonna have to come back for tier 3 class for all the legal and self defense. Tom knows everything and was very thorough.

Fantastic experience: The non lethal class is excellent for learning awareness of surroundings, being prepared for with away bags, survival non lethal weapons and more. Tom and his team are very professional, excellent instructor, and follow up after the training. Well worth your time and investment.

Fantastic experience: Consider myself to be a fairly proficient shooter but took away a huge amount of new knowledge and gained skills to keep improving. Tom is relatable, engaging, and easy to follow. This won't be my last session with him for sure.

Fantastic experience: First off, this company and guy rocks! Super knowledgeable and down to earth. The knowledge, insight, and practical experience I was exposed too helped me better understand some real world situations that I might very well encounter. Even though the course was a full day (9-10 hours and worth every penny and minute spent) Mr. Fiala sensed that my buddy and I were focused on improving and that we didn’t require much downtime. Mr. Fiala catered the course to meet and exceed our goals. I hope to get another opportunity at one of his training sessions.

Fantastic experience: Tom’s training was thorough and included more info than the standard NRA training regimen. He was quite responsive to my questions and he tailored the training to my specific needs. I learned more from Tom’s course than the earlier Basic Pistol class I took seven years ago. Fantastic experience: I took the course with my brother Paul and sister in law Gwen and it was very professional and intense about guns and guns safety. It is well worth your money if your interested self defense involving guns and the laws pertaining to owning them. It is especially informative and it was hands on training at the gun range and the importance of properly owning guns and the right way to shoot them. I highly recommend the course for new gun owners because the classes are taught in small numbers to give you the proper training. I enjoyed training with Tom Fiala whose a very friendly teacher and very professional and is very knowledgeable in his profession and I plan to take additional courses in the next few months.

Fantastic experience: Tom teaches in a way that anyone can understand. He gives you a full course on legal , moral , ethics and practice in pistol defense. Alot of scenario based training. What to do and what not to do and why. Definitely recommend hmm .

Fantastic experience: As a beginner, I've taken quite a few Basic courses and walked away disappointed. Tom's Basic Pistol Course was literally the first one I've taken that gave me the necessary foundation to build on to become a proficient shooter. He's personable, knowledgeable, very seasoned in his field, and very receptive to your questions and what you need to know. Fantastic experience: I took a pistol course with Tom he custom tailored his content after discussing my experience and goals. Fantastic experience: My brother and I were both first time shooters who completed the NRA Basic Pistol Training Course. Tom was an excellent instructor! Not only did he take us through all of the training, he provided useful and insightful information whenever he could whether or not it was part of the training materials. You can tell he really enjoys training students and was very personable. He always made us, even as complete novices, feel welcome and answered all the questions we had related to firearms and firearms training. He also made himself available as a helpful resource to reach out to with any questions after the course as well. Overall, great experience and would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for in-depth, real-deal firearms training in Ellijay, GA, ATS is where it's at. Tom's approach encompasses the "total package" in my opinion - classroom time, range time, receptive to questions, and post-class mentorship. Plus, he's got a great sense of humor. Fantastic experience: My husband and I took the Tier 2 class with Thomas and had a wonderful experience. I had not fired a gun in years and just recently purchased a handgun so I was rather nervous about the class. Thomas helped me to feel very relaxed and I actually had fun the whole day! The entire day/class was well thought out and planned for maximum learning. We covered a lot of material and Thomas' enthusiasm for the sport was very inspiring! We both came away feeling much more confident in our ability to handle our handguns as well as maintaining them and we even touched on some laws pertaining to carrying. We cannot recommend ATS training and services. We both look forward to the next class with Thomas! What a great experience!

Fantastic experience: I just took the tier 4 shooting class and it was incredibly good. Learning to move and shoot and shoot under stress are such valuable skills. The instructors were professional and very helpful. What I loved is that I learned new skills and got some training tools that I can take to the range tomorrow. I highly recommend this class and plan on taking it again in the near future.

Fantastic experience: Been a shooter for years with no formal training and decided to take the NRA Basic Pistol Course and see what it was all about. So glad I chose to go with Tom from ATS!! Fantastic experience: I am writing this under my wife's account. I have been around firearms most of my life and felt comfortable with them. When I signed up for the basic pistol course I was not sure what to expect. I can say with 100% certainty this course is awesome. The instructor, Tom Fiala, was exceptional. The course was very comprehensive. I learned a ton!!! This course with this instructor is a must for anyone handling handguns. To put it best, I learned a lot of things I THOUGHT I knew but didn't. Fantastic experience: The wife and I took the basic pistol course this past November while in town for Thanksgiving and WOW! Tom is a great and knowledgeable instructor that takes the time to make sure you understand all the course material, as well as answers any questions you may have. In Tom's mind, the only dumb question you have is the one you failed to ask. Having some experience with guns myself, I even learned a few things from the basic course, unexpectedly. Despite the comfortable, laid back atmosphere in his beautiful home (which includes coffee/beverages, snacks, and a homemade lunch by his wife, Bekki!), it was still a very professional learning environment, especially in regards to gun safety. Tom doesn't just read off a boring PowerPoint like a robot, he keeps you engaged (and awake!) with his blend of professionalism and his sense of humor. The LASR system is a great tool to have right there in the classroom, without the added travel, recoil, eye and ear protection, and noise that comes with live fire training at the range. The ability to hear and ask questions without being at the range allows you to fully understand and work on building confidence, grip, aim, trigger control, and follow through. Don't get me wrong though, you will still go to the range after working on all of those things and do it live, it just makes sense to go over everything first without all the constraints of being at the range with live rounds. All in all, it was a great experience, and the wife and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about taking a basic pistol course in the area. We can't wait to take the advanced course the next time we're in town! God Bless America!
