Fantastic experience: Big thank you to Officer Kenneth Diaz. He worked on 9 Jan 2024 at Virginia Hospital ER at 11pm. Not only did he provide great security to the staff and patients. He even handed out warm blankets to patients. And at the end of my mom's visit, he wheeled outour car. car. He truly went above and beyond! Thank you, Officer Diaz!

Negative experience: Too low-status for them, I guess, and they decided to pass on a potential paying client. no sense of responsibility... 12/12/23, edit: Responding to the company's comment- I did, in the course of the solicitation, share that I'm an aspiring writer with a sensitive subject potentially in development. At that point, they declined. I am extremely sympathetic to their work with domestic violence victims, but less so to using it in this context, which stretches the pro bono claim. Still, I applaud them for that.

Fantastic experience: Blue Raven provided exceptional professional security support for our events. The CEO visited our facility several days prior to the events to survey the building and grounds. He supported our plan to use our volunteers for entry and egress control, integrating his personnel seamlessly into our processes. Blue Raven staff were trained and proficient, proactively monitoring our site into the evening hours both inside the building and outside in the parking lot. They also coordinated effectively with the Fairfax County Police Department who provided traffic control. Blue Raven staff received many complements from our event participants. We'll be using them again in the future.

Negative experience: **Warning to other Security professional's in VA** Do not use this company to complete your in-service 01I course for VA DCJS license. This company is listed on the DCJS website for online renewal in-service for unarmed security officers. This is the cheapest priced course on the website. Today I paid the $25 to take the renewal course, I failed the exam because none of the questions were practical or like the questions I have experienced in my last renewal that I took 2 years ago while I was with AUS. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT OFFER RETAKES OR REFUNDS IF YOU FAIL THE EXAM ON THE FRIST TRY. This company takes your money and runs. If you don't have time to take the in-personal renewal courses with your employer I highly recommend that you look for a company that has the more expensive renewal courses for online in-service 01I. I've been a security professional for 4 years and I have never experienced a failure in my renewal exam for 01I.

Fantastic experience: Everything about working with Blue Raven was a great experience. They were immediately responsive to inquiries for their services and made it easy to arrange for them. Plus, the uniformed officer who staffed our event, Michael, was wonderful. He showed up on time, he was friendly but watchful, including assisting with keeping track of folks bypassing the Admission desk if I looked away for a moment. He even helped me re-pair my iphone with my square reader when it didn't work. Highly recommend Michael and Blue Raven.

Fantastic experience: I had found Blue Raven after looking for a security company to protect me and my family from a potentially dangerous domestic situation. We were far from their headquarters (about 3 hours) and did not have solid information on who or what would be at the residence when we would arrive. Michael walked me through what they could do, what they offer, and provided copious amounts of advice on precautions we could take without additional charge. We had to reschedule multiple times and Michael and his agents were responsive and understanding. When the day finally arrived his agents were prompt and professional. They advised us on actions to protect ourselves and what our rights were. Once complete I even received a follow up phone call, not to discuss payment methods, but to ensure that myself and my family were OK. If you are looking to protect yourself and have piece of mind - Blue Raven are the go-to option.

Fantastic experience: I had no idea what to search for or what to expect when contacting a private security business. This was my first time seeking out these services in order to more safely address/resolve a situation with a mentally unstable, aggressive, and often-drugged up individual. I spoke with Mike on the phone last week about my situation. He was professional and patient with my little worry-filled self. He followed up diligently to my questions / concerns and provided resources that were helpful for my situation. He worked w my uncertain timeline due to this particular unstable individual's unpredictability. The situation ended up resolving peacefully. I am grateful for Mike's support throughout it, and I highly recommend working w him for your security needs - whether as a little female like me fearful and needing help; or private security for dignitaries; or for organizations needing security for events. It was difficult to figure out what to search for with private security, but through this experience, I learned through a bit of research that Virginia's Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) has a website where you can look up a business related to security and see the license info (and make sure they are legit too if you're working w one private individual). You can also read into what the differences in training are for each of the certifications. Mike has agents available who can serve as unarmed and armed security with arresting authority. (There might be more security services his business does, but this was mainly what I was needing so that's what we spoke on!)

Positive experience: I had a very tough domestic situation and had to hire an armed security officer at the last minute. I contacted several companies with no responses, that was until I called Blue Raven. Mike was extremely helpful and was able to get me two different security officers.
