Fantastic experience: Phenomenal training- definitely signing up for more DCJS certified courses with ASPIS. Troy Wilkinson is experienced, knowledgeable, & engaging -making the classroom sessions fly by. The team surveillance training for the practical and the practical itself was beyond awesome- ASPIS does a far better job teaching surveillance & other investigative skills than anything I received at NVCJTA or Loudoun Sheriff. 100% highly recommend ASPIS.

Fantastic experience: Having taken 2 classes now with ASPIS I believe their classes are second to none. Troy and his Staff are extremely knowledgeable and Troy is always willing to share advice and best practices with students looking to start up their own PI businesses. ASPIS is not the fly - by - night security training you might have seen from other schools and Troy makes apparent that by the end of the class, you will be confident and competent in your skills. Few other schools will dedicate the resources they do to their students. You can’t beat having access to a state of the art simulator or a martial arts instructor for the price they charge.

Fantastic experience: Just finished the 02E class for PI registration in VA, and man, if I could leave 6 stars I would. Troy is a fantastic teacher. He took us methodically through everything we need (local and federal laws and DCJS regulations, organizational processes, evidence gathering and chain of custody maintenance), and then followed that with a boatload more -- like, business building advice and inspiration, interviewing skills, behavioral analysis, and on-the-ground team surveillance experience. We were extremely well prepped for the final test, and I honestly don't think I've ever had more fun than on that teams surveillance exercise. 10/10 from this Idaho based investigator.

Fantastic experience: ASPIS was a great training facility. Their Private Investigator course was incredibly informative and interactive. The instructor Troy made sure to go not just in depth on the DCJS knowledge, but went into real world scenarios as well. Would recommend this course to anyone interested in private investigations.

Fantastic experience: I attended the unarmed security, arrest authority, armed endorsement and PI class with aspis. I drove every day from northern Delaware and it was well worth it. Troy is an amazing instructor and teaches not only the required things but also from experience. He shares some amazing stories. Book your training with ASPIS. You won’t be disappointed I’ll be back in December for the PPS class and can’t wait.

Negative experience: Service sucks, called like million times to cancel my course but no one answered the phone. I had to drive there. I will be updating this post upon completion of this cancelation. Will see. Online has the option to take the money, but no option for refund or cancellation.

Fantastic experience: What an awesome training and learning experience! The level of expertise, experience, and knowledge gained from Troy is second to none. Rarely will an instructor encourage so much class participation and engagement, as well as take the time to answer EVERY question asked by students. I came to the class knowing absolutely nothing about private investigation, but at the conclusion of the 10 days I feel equipped to venture into this field with insight on what to expect, how to adapt, and how to better observe. Thank you, Troy, for such and wonderful learning experience.

Fantastic experience: I feel bad for writing a review this late, anyways. I took 01E class at this school, Mr. Troy is a nice teacher you would love to have as your primary teacher in school, he is knowledge, fun, sense of humor to the sky, he seems like a nice dad to have. He is strict when it comes to exam because he wants to make sure that you remember what you learned, but he will make sure you pass those before taking the exam. I would highly recommend for any training here no doubt, don't hestiate to apply if you have to!

Fantastic experience: Completed my Unarmed/Armed security courses at ASPIS Training Center and I can say that it is extremely well run. The instructors go above and beyond and are prior law enforcement/have great experience in the field. If you need to take DCJS courses and ASPIS offers them, do not hesitate enrolling at ASPIS, they want their students to learn, plus they offer the best prices compared to other locations. Shout out to Mr. Wilkinson for having such great respect and wanting to change the name of private security/law enforcement for the better. Also, shout out to Mr. Lopera, he definitely needs a raise for the extreme patience and guidance he possesses. Thank you ASPIS.

Fantastic experience: I just finished up a PI class as well as an Open Source Research class and will be taking the Armed Endorsement class this weekend. I can’t say enough great things about this training center. Troy is extremely professional and thorough. He’s definitely a veteran in the business with a lot of valuable insights and experiences to share throughout his training courses. I traveled two hours to attend these courses because he was highly recommended by a fellow PI. Don’t waste your time at any other training facility. Take all of your course requirements at ASPIS. You’ll be happy you did. He’s also pretty entertaining too. There’s never a dull day with Troy.

Fantastic experience: Aspis Training Center is one of the best companies around that offer this type of training. I have taken multiple courses with them and could not have asked for better instructors! These guys have decades of experience and they teach the class for real world situations. Each class has a scenario or practical which allows you to practice for the real world. Troy the owner is one of the most knowledgeable guy's that I have ever met. He is extremely loyal to the members who take his classes and ensures that the class truly understands the concepts. If you take multiple courses with Aspis they tend to discount classes for repeat students. What more can you ask for! I would highly recommend Aspis to everyone! Fantastic experience: Updated Review: I am back once again after taking my 3rd class. These guys are just pros. They’ll take their time and make sure that you understand if you’re a hard time. Ask away any questions you have. I doubt you’ll find anyone better both by quality and by the buck. Original Review: Big Troy was my instructor. What an amazing guy and instructor. I actually had fun in the class. And they’ve free snacks and soda as long as you leave something in the donation box.

Fantastic experience: Three times the value at even twice the price. As an instructor myself I found this class instructor's technique keep the attention of the attendees even during the very dry sections. The instructor has extensive experience in law enforcement that proved to be invaluable throughout the training. His ability to share real-life perceptive helped understand the material. The instructor was able to connect with the most novice to the most advanced class members. Also was open to sharing the business portion to help those who are making the career change.
