Fantastic experience: I suspected that my wife has been cheating for quite some time now. I wrestled with the idea of hiring a private detective but that seemed a bit over the top until I got a hold of her phone and saw that she had a dialogue with some man and it was more than just a friendship so I called Brian to see what he would recommend. The first thing he did was look up the phone number and we were able to identify the man and then I agreed to put her under surveillance. In less than a week Brian and his team and he actually does have a team was able to get me photographic proof that my wife is being unfaithful. I didn't want to write a review at the time it happened but now that the cat is out of the bag I thought these guys deserve a growing review. I can't thank them enough! She kept telling me I was going crazy and it was all my imagination until I stuck that photo in her face! 10 stars for LA Intelligence!

Negative experience: Be cautious. We asked for references for the person we’d be working with and LA Intelligence would not / could not supply them. Given the potential scope of work was to provide help during a vulnerable time it was important to make sure we are not getting taken advantage of by someone knowing there is a vulnerable party on the other side of the table. There were some inconsistencies in the process / story and the lack of references supplied makes me believe there could be some misaligned motivations. We didn’t have a bad experience because we didn’t become a paying customer but a fair warning to do your own diligence.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Brian with LA Intelligence when I was dealing with a certain situation with an individual. He answered the phone, we spoke for a long period of time and he got me what I need. He underpromised and over delivered, which is rare. He has various options for you, depending on what information you are needing for your case.

Negative experience: The private investigator Brian is extremely incompetent, lacks ethical knowledge and work, and does not follow through with his work. 0/10, I highly recommend looking into other private investigators because this agency is not ethically doing their work. Mostly takes people’s money without service and lack communication with other PI’s that work there. Other PI’s also charge you less than triple the amount that this agency charges you for no service done. Furthermore, he said I “threatened” him for saying I would report this business to the stateboard since he only took my money and didn’t do any service that I had asked for. Then called me, harrassmed me, raised his voice and insisted excessively on me saying to allowing him to record the phone call. This agency lacks professionalism.

Fantastic experience: I would like to take the opportunity to thank Brian and his team for following through with a very complicated situation I had with an individual. It was a complete nightmare, and if Brian had not gotten involved a month ago, I would still probably be in a bad situation. Brian and his team’s professionalism was A++ and also his communication every step of the way was fantastic. I would also like to mention the I had done my homework with prices and LA INTELLIGENCE, INVESTIGATIONS & DETECTIVE AGENCY is incredibly reasonable in my opinion. Fantastic experience: I recently engaged LA Intelligence to locate a missing person. This private detective agency was everything a client could wish for: Professional and expeditious at a reasonable fee. Not only did they find the missing person in a prompt matter but also maintained care of him until the family took responsibility. The owner of the company, Brian Mathews, personally oversaw the matter and directed the investigator, who was also of superior quality, with clarity and certainty. I recommend this organization without reservation! In the event I ever again need the services of private investigator, LA intelligence will be my choice.

With the little information that I have, Brian was able to track the scammer and now I have the much needed information to forward to my local authorities. Fantastic experience: I was involved in an automobile accident and the driver did not have enough insurance to cover my damages. I filed a civil lawsuit and had the LA County Sheriffs serve the defendant. No one would answer the door at 5:00 or 6:00 in the morning. After three attempts, the Sheriffs were not successful. I have never worked with a private investigator before. After a Google search, I contacted three firms: one replied without full comprehending my situation, the other never replied, and LA Intelligence replied with a very thorough, thoughtful, and professional email. I wrote to Brian elaborating my situation and he was very helpful in guiding me through the process. There is never any guarantee in these situations, but I felt if LA Intelligence couldn't get it done, then it truly was a lost cause. Despite the defendant trying everything in his power to avoid being served, in the end, LA Intelligence came through with flying colors. For whatever your needs are, I cannot recommend this firm enough.

Fantastic experience: hello everyone I just would like to give a BIG thank you to Brian for locating my baby's father for court. it has been an intense week tracking down my baby's father but Brian did that! He was not playing. Brian has been incredibly understanding, very considerate, truly helpful and extremely professional. don't get me wrong it is a bit pricy but it was worth every penny. I don't understand the one reviewer who found the opposite to be true. Calling a detective agency is usually a last resort and the people who call, like me, are understandably already upset.

Negative experience: called them for assistant, not only the person on the other end didn't sound well also he wasn't helpful at all , kind of I felt they don't care or pay attention to what I said or requested, price code?? higher than others

Fantastic experience: Recently someone stole some items from me and some of my friends. We all realized after a while that the culprit was someone we knew. Despite multiple police reports all naming the same suspect and the added seriousness that the stolen items included guns, the LAPD was not interested. They took the reports, called the suspect, told him they thought he didn't it, and then dropped the case. As more items went missing, we knew we had to do something and decided to hire a private investigator. I'd never hired a PI before, so I was very skeptical at first, and I've heard some horror stories, but I found LA Intelligence here on Yelp and after reading their stellar reviews, was pretty impressed. The suspect I later learned was a drug addict and possibly homeless so I did not set my expectations too high. After consulting with Brian, who made no promises, we decided to proceed with the investigation and it was not long before Brian had informed me that not only did they find the suspect, they actually befriended him and proceeded undercover. They got him to admit every detail of the crimes, including details I hadn't told the LAPD or Brian so at that point I was very certain this was the real deal. I was also given a very detailed report of every interaction with the suspect, with photographic proof. Brian then contacted LAPD to arrange to bring in an Undercover Police Detective which eventually led to his arrest. I am hoping that some of my stuff will be recovered and restitution will be ordered by the court, and I'll update this when any of that happens, but that will be a long road. It turns out that the suspect was planning more burglaries so in the interest of public safety, this ended very well for everyone. I was extremely impressed with Brian, LA Intelligence, and his entire team. This went far better than I could have ever hoped and I can guarantee Brian will be the first person I call for any incident in the future. If you have been the victim of a crime, the odds are very low the cops will do anything about it unless you do all their work for them and hand the evidence to them on a silver platter. Brian is the silver platter. My only regret here is that I waited so long to call him.

Fantastic experience: This is the private investigation team to use! I had been trying to recover my vehicle from a very fraudulent leasing company for five months. Brian and his team were able to recover my vehicle in less than 48 hours! LAI consistently communicated with me through phone calls, texts, and emails. I will never be able to thank Brian enough for ending months of exhausting emotional stress and anxiety for me.

Fantastic experience: 5.0 star rating Started on 1/22/2019 There is a very good reason you see a five star rating with LA Intelligence... Let me explain... I had a very very bad situation with a car that I had leased... I had a 2017 Rang Rover and I just did not care for the car... Luckily I had a two year lease but with Range Rover, you cannot actually get out of a lease by having someone take it over for you... I had put the car on swapalease as an outright sale and was contacted by a scam artist and I urge anyone that is approached by someone third party about sub leasing your car to AVOID IT, especially in California... He had promised to help get me out of this lease or make the payments until the lease ran out... Every month was hassle, late payment, etc... The least was due to run out at the end of this month and he had not made two consecutive payments and had given no indication he would turn the car over... So i contacted Brian at LA Intelligence to help me... He had many strong methods he presented me of which he could help get the car back for me... It seemed impossible after chasing after car for so long and basically feeling it was not going to be returned.... within THREE days ONLY, the car was recovered... THREE DAYS... that was just remarkable to say the least... They were ALL over him and he had no choice but to hand the car back over... LA Intelligence has earned my business as well as all my recommendations whenever someone needs any kind of private investigative work done... They are definitely elite to say the least... Fantastic experience: I had an extremely positive experience and HIGHLY RECOMMEND LA Intelligence! They literally saved my parents several hundred thousand dollars, as they were the unknowing victims of a scam perpetrated by a con artist who was very convincing. I had a very bad feeling but couldn’t convince my parents to do their due diligence before investing. When the scumbag asked for more money for ‘phase 2’ of the scam, I was at my wit’s end and sought out help. Had I known that this experience would be so straightforward and simple I would have hired them much sooner. I chose them because they have been around since 1990, which is something I look for in a company. Additionally impressive was the fact that the vast majority of their reviews on both Yelp and Google are outstanding. Now that I have worked with them, I completely agree with those positive reviews. This was my first experience using a private investigator and if I have further need in the future I will not hesitate to call them. The investigators have very impressive backgrounds, and I felt like I was in very good hands from the beginning, and all the way through until the case was wrapped up. They were efficient, effective and I felt that the price was reasonable (which was something I had been concerned about before I reached out to them.) In addition, they were very clear about what it would cost and what the variables might be. They were honest and up front and did not overcharge. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Fantastic experience: This company and my the main PI, Brian, has been so helpful. Long story short a horrific Doctor at Lasky Clinic used me for testing and training USC students. I went in for a cosmetic nose surgery and they cut off my upper jaw, did a bunch of tests and my face was shortened by well over an inch. Brian came with me to the VA to look for records and also got some photos of the main site where they do FDA testing on helpless patients. Here are some photos of the research documents he got for me and the photos on site at Lasky. Not only did he find this evidence, he found out they were doing these horrific experiments on children without gaining consent of the parents!! In America folks. Brian got me the evidence that will ensure my case against this behemoth who is using helpless elective patients to hurt and steal bones under a federal policy that allows them to train students. They claim they do not take human bones, blood or anything from the poor victims, but there were so many specimen boxes for Cedars and many other labs. Showing statewide prevalent corruption to harm private paying patients at Lasky Clinic. The doctor who did this and enrolled me to let students hurt me is Dr. Andrew Frankel. He is located at 201 S. Lasky Dr. in Beverly Hills, no where near USC's teaching hospital. I have PTSD and Brian was so kind to me and advocated for me in a million different ways. I give him my FULLEST recommendation.

Fantastic experience: I hired Brian at LA Intelligence after an employee filed a fraudulent workers comp claim. As our 4th generation family-run small business had never dealt with anything like this before I hired Brian because I wanted to protect our business and our personal assets. I was also angry that someone we tried to help took advantage of the system. Unbeknownst to me this is the 7th workers comp claim the employee has filed in the past 5 years. The workers comp insurance didn’t explain anything about how the process would work or even the fact that they had a lawyer “on our side.” They just wanted to pay him off and increase our premiums without informing me of anything!!! What a joke! Brian is very efficient in his work and has kept me updated on a regular basis. His work slowly put our minds at ease. Brian has gone above and beyond helping us and has been very generous with his time and fees. He is passionate about his work and I highly recommend his company.
