Negative experience: Quite frankly, this might be the worst security company in Kansas City. From skipping scheduled patrols, an unprofessional answering service that is unresponsive to complaints, and a general lack of visibility by never walking the premises, this company is negligent and incompetent when it comes to security in every way, shape and form. I would highly recommend avoiding a contract with this company as they would not adhere to it.

Negative experience: Do not hire and do not work here. Owners are bitter elderly people that are stuck in their own ways. They refuse to see themselves as the wrong party. They act petty, disrespectful, they will steal from you, they will rip you off in hours and if you decide to leave the company due to them having ROACHES IN THEIR CARS. Then they will (without notice) rip you off on your last paycheck by paying you minimum wage changing the rate to it. And showing deductions for “inconvenience reasons”. They are unholy diabolical individuals and will ruin your career path.

Negative experience: I get it’s New Years, but this is a security company. Tonight I witnessed at least two security officers from this company commit a crime discharging their firearm not only ON a clients property, but in city limits. This is 100% unacceptable! Security is to prevent crimes from happening, not be the ones to commit them. This will be reported to the KC commission board, the client, and already has been reported to the police. Vehicles involved were two SUV’. One burgundy in color, with an amber/red traffic advisor mounted in the front windshield. This was the first vehicle on site, then another dark colored SUV arrived, with a blue ford fusion that did not have any insignia. That is NOT how you treat ANY of your clients property! Did your officers collect their evidence? If not it’ll be on the north side of the property as that’s where they entered and shots were fired.

Fantastic experience: The finest armed private security agent I have met is Mr. kitchen. My qualifications to pass judgment: US Air Force veteran and have worked a total of 11 years at two competing guard companies. If all employees of Kansas City Bureau of Investigations are up to Mr. kitchen standards I challenge anybody to exceed his performance. He is flat out the best private armed security guard! No ifs, and, ors, buts.

Negative experience: Their Dispatcher Jamie is very rude and unpleasant , will not be doing business with them.

Negative experience: Don’t do it.. the positive reviews are fake or employees who don’t know better. Unprofessional, unarmed and uneducated.. they literally take anyone off the street, they watch a video for a view hours and suit them up. It’s terrifying tbh.

Fantastic experience: I love this place and I enjoy working for the owners and command staff they are very down to earth and laid back it’s simple really show up and do your job and you’ll have no issues all in all I would recommend them to anyone the response time is immediate and we will all go out of our way to help

Negative experience: These guys are worthless. I received a warning that my car may be towed because it hasn't moved in over a month. The car is driven regularly. It is parked in a parking garage that is paid for on a monthly basis. There has never been a late payment. So, I guess “illegaly“ parking in a leased parking space I pay for can result in being towed at my expense. I'll be sharing this info with your client who pays for your services and let them know that further harassment will lead to a cancelled lease.

Fantastic experience: Excellent, very professional. I trust my safety with no one else! And their Sergeant Mr.Mills, never stops working. He is humble and kind, a strong leader. NKCBI is a valuable asset for any business and their communities.

Negative experience: If you're looking for security that is unprofessional, sloppy, rude, and has a staff that will try and flirt with staff at any particular location then look no further. The sheer number of complaints I receive about this company is staggering. Real complaints have been some officers have been flirting with receptionist at multiple locations, Rude, Sloppy, Late, Not showing up at all. I would say the company just has had some bad officers, but the fact is the owner's direct involvement almost always ended up with something going wrong. Seriously though I was told this used to be a respectable institute, that must have been way in the past. The owner and manager of N.K.C.B.I. should be investigated for financial and tax crimes and bribery.

Negative experience: After what I watch, I hope that every person working with this company isn't like the man who drove truck 585. As I was walking in to shop at Sunfresh (4357 NE Chouteau Trafficway, Kansas City, MO 64117), there was this Hispanic couple who were out in the parking lot holding a sign that read " Lost our jobs, have three kids and we need help with rent! Anything helps." As a proceed to give them what cash I had on me your officer, walked up to them and told them (short, no more than 5'5" old Caucasian Man) to " GET OUT! GO NOW!" in the most disrespectful and VILE tone I have heard and let me tell you I have heard some things in my life. I believe that his tone of voice, demeanor and attitude should have been better. They were causing no harm nor bothering anyone. As a matter of fact, there were people dancing to the music that they were playing in the parking lot. I would never allow this company to secure anything I own if their people encounter the public like this man did.

Fantastic experience: Good security company for all types of businesses and excellent customer service

Negative experience: I wish my brother was paid what hes worth. His loyalty to this company seems awfully one sided.

Positive experience: It's a family owned business, and they have a lot of overhead to maintain, so don't expect to make a whole lot of money here. The "base" pay isn't that great, but you can always pick up extra hours to make extra money. It's a great place to get security/law enforcement experience at. They always paid me on time, and in full. The have great technology, mobile patrol cars, full service dispatch station, high grade mobile radios.
