Fantastic experience: Haven’t ever owned a gun my girlfriend and I took Mikes course and absolutely loved it! We wanted to be responsible gun owners before we even purchased one. Mike was very detailed and not only explained everything thoroughly but physically showed everyone and let them do it themselves on how to load and unload the gun. He also showed the proper stance and holding the gun. He also went over in detail the laws on a concealed weapon permit and safety. After taking his course we are more then confident on owning one and being safe and comfortable using one. We highly recommend taking his course before purchasing one.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time with Pilum going through Pistol I course . Pilum made it entertaining and relatable to everyday life. I was nervous about the hands on approach with how to properly load and handle a handgun. Pilum made this stress free with assisting and teaching proper techniques which echoed to the shooting range portion of the class. Fantastic experience: I completed the Pistol Course with the guys at Pilum Defense in Colorado this past weekend and I couldn’t be more satisfied . Being a woman in this environment can be intimidating and I know that many women don’t sign up for this kind of training because of fear of feeling judged or fear of feeling “incapable” . Well, ladies, don’t be intimidated . The atmosphere at Pilum is Empowering. They are very professional, helpful and understanding. You will walk away with a lot more knowledge about your gun, yourself and how to get better . In my opinion this course is the perfect continuation of the concealed carry course.

The curriculum put a fresh spin on gun safety and marksmanship. GREAT class to build a foundation on or for the seasoned shooter, sharpen their skills.

Fantastic experience: Started my process to get my CCW with PILUM! Great beginner level class led by knowledgeable and professional instructors. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the beginner level class to anyone who is ready to start this process. I am definitely looking forward to working my way up to some more advanced classes that they offer.

Fantastic experience: First let me say how amazing all the instructors are! Who better to learn gun safety from than a group of retired pro’s including a Marine, Navy SEAL, DEA agent and LA Police Officer. They are all experts in their field and made me feel very comfortable in the class, being a girl. I thought it would be intimidating but they were very kind and helpful. Jerry made sure before I left that I was able to rack the gun (which is difficult if you don’t have a lot of hand strength) and showed us some cool moves with reloading the magazine (they also taught us the correct terminology “it’s not a clip”). Steven the Navy SEAL was extremely helpful in making sure I knew how to hold the gun properly and also super helpful when we were at the gun range learning how to shoot. Ralph retired DEA was fascinating to listen to and has had a lot of experience which was very cool to hear! I was very impressed with the class, the main instructor Michael was great and makes you feel comfortable, the class was laid back and not intimidating at all. He made us all laugh with his stories of experience and sense of humor. I couldn’t have chosen a better class to learn gun basics and I plan on taking the advanced classes to learn even more from these guys! Even after the class when I have gone to practice, the guys who work at the gun range were impressed that I knew what I was doing thanks to Pilum!
