Fantastic experience: Best in town. We swapped from a competitor months ago, and the difference in the quality of service is really unbelievable.

Negative experience: Driver turned on lights while on the highway impersonating a police officer, about caused a massive wreck. Cut me off while on the exit ramp and stop traffic. Got out and approached my vehicle. I was able to drive away. Called cops.

Negative experience: Vehicle driving down Kellogg ba between Seneca and Oliver with their emergency vehicle lights on. This is not an emergency vehicle and should not be driving down the highway like this, it's dangerous.

Fantastic experience: M.S.M. apparently needs his diaper changed. I have dealt with SSI Security before and I was at the 4th of July fireworks event in downtown Wichita. SSI personnel have always been fine by me, and there was indeed signs posted around the entrance to the beer garden area. Even if there were not, every stupid fool around the world knows that you can't bring in alcohol from an outside source into a place that sells alcohol. When you sit on the grass to watch fireworks for free, those fireworks are actually paid for by the same parent company that tries to get you to buy the beer they sell in the beer garden. That's how they pay for the fireworks. The beer garden in Wichita on the 4th of July had a 4 foot barrier all around the area, signs posted, ( which apparently he missed ), and guards checking coolers, bags, and purses. I noticed in MSM's original post he describes how the security guard used "deception" to check his wife's bag. How in the hell could anyone be deceived into what was about to happen? Also, MSM stated in his original post a couple other things which should be "taken with a grain of salt" as he would say. First, the original post only stated that N. Green "stole, then damaged his wife's property", and that later, only after the owner called MSM out on it, that it was actually alcohol that was commandeered and poured on the ground, did MSM say that, oh yes, that was true, but that proper context should be understood. Hey buddy, wouldn't proper context include that admission before you make it sound like you just accidentally walked into North Korea? Another thing, the original post stated that N. Green used what seemed to be unlawful force. None of your postings list that you called the police. Another thing of note, that especially in today's litigious environment, any police or security situation were any force was used under any set of circumstances, in such a crowded area, everybody and the person next to them would have been recording everything on their cell phones. I wonder why no footage of anything like that has surfaced? In the end, here's what I think happened: MSM was used to sneaking into such events in the past with alcohol and got away with it. At the most recent event, the security guard found it and dumped it, ( just like I saw all the other guards do all night long that night ), and then MSM, over a couple of beers, decides to whine and complain with his ongoing lamentations, like a little brat child who probably was never disciplined, until someone would give him, and his fragile ego some attention. I also happen to know some of the employees of SSI Security and some are friends of mine. His portrayal of their behavior is not what I have known of them. With as much as MSM drones on and on over the people of SSI with his obvious recalcitrance, he comes across as some kind of professional pusillanimous cry baby, and it wouldn't surprise me if he wrote letters and internet posts to everybody from the President of the United States to Santa Claus, crying and moping over the loss of a couple of beers, until someone decided to shut him up by writing him a check to go away. It sounds as if MSM needs to crawl back under the bridge, or hollowed out log, or whatever hovel he calls home, and seriously rethink his life.

Fantastic experience: I have been super impressed with the professionalism and concern that Smart Security has shown for my company. I have used other local security companies before and since switching to Smart Security I have never felt safer. I would highly recommend anyone to use Smart Security if you are looking for a reliable, professional, competitively priced security company.

Fantastic experience: I have always been treated respectfully by Smart Security. They have been friendly as they completed their jobs. I have encountered SS at several different venues around the city and never had a problem with their attitude or behavior...and have always seen appropriate attitudes and actions. If I were to need security at an event, Smart Security would be my first call!!

Negative experience: Update. Keep in mind that my original post was the only review when it was written. The flood of stellar reviews that followed are obviously an orchestrated response by the company, and should be taken with a grain of salt. I've chosen to post again, only because of the company's attempt to smear my wife. It was indeed alcohol at the epicenter of this episode, but context is key here. There was not a single sign that said it could not be brought into the event. Not a mention by these SSI reps. Nothing whatsoever that would inform my wife of the alcohol policy. Had there been, it would have been disposed of, or we'd have gone elsewhere. Pretty simple, right? In reference to the alleged "concealment," Mr. Green asked her to hand over the hand-held cooler she carried for inspection. She did. Within that cooler was exactly three bottles of Mike's hard lemonade. That's it. No ice, nothing. Not exactly the mystery SSI is seeking to portray. Mr. Green could have informed us that it wasn't allowed, and we'd have done something about it, but instead chose to harass and humiliate her as outlined earlier. We never did enter the event. I won't waste my time again seeking to expose this company for what it is. The fact that they have attempted to smear my wife, in order to protect the precious feelings of their thug, should be evidence enough. If you at all value your safety, the safety of your family, or the reputation of your organization, DO NOT HIRE SSI, ATTEND AN EVENT WITH WHICH SSI IS AFFILIATED, OR SUPPORT A BUSINESS THAT HIRES SSI. At a recent event in downtown Wichita, SSI operative N. Green stole my wife's personal property, through deception and force, and proceeded to destroy it. As he worked to destroy her property, he mocked and chided her as loudly as he could, obviously seeking to embarrass, belittle, and degrade her in front of her children, and as many passers-by as possible. My wife is a disabled veteran. All the while, N. Green's partner stood back and laughed as though it was the funniest thing he'd ever seen. Upon completion of this tirade, these men simply stood by and smirked at us, like twelve year old schoolyard bullies. We brought this to the attention of the on-sight manager - who did nothing. We brought this to the attention of company management - who did nothing. Because of the company's passive consent of these actions, it should be assumed that these men, and their vitriolic actions against my wife, are representative of the company's hiring and training practices. Because SSI apparently seeks out those with violence issues, and trains them to foster an unreasonable power trip, one would be wise to consider this organization, and those it employs, dangerous.

This was an unfortunate situation, and Smart Security was notified of the above-mentioned incident. This was a local event in which alcohol was not permitted, and guards were posted to prevent anyone from entering with it. The wife's personal property, that is being referred to, was indeed alcohol. We feel the alcohol was intentionally being concealed, but no force was used to obtain it. The guard being referred to is a decorated war veteran, and our company is veteran owned as well. All our guards go through a very stringent vetting process, including local and federal background checks, drug screening, and licensing through the City of Wichita. We actually work very diligently to avoid anyone with a history of violence. We do not approve of our guard's actions and feel that we have taken steps to ensure that this does not happen again. This is our reply to the email that we received regarding the incident. "Thank you for bringing the actions of (name) to our attention. We apologize for his unprofessional and inappropriate behavior, and we will be taking steps to ensure that it is not repeated. His actions are certainly not representative of Smart Security, and we can appreciate your outrage at having been treated so rudely. Please accept our sincere apology. If there are any other issues that need to be addressed, please don’t hesitate to contact me." In addition, our guard was reprimanded and removed from any future post requiring similar work. We feel this complaint was handled to the best of our ability, and that any further action against Mr. Green would just be an attempt to further humiliate him in response to his unfortunate actions.
