Negative experience: Possibly the worst company to deal with. Not responsive and when responsive very rude.

Fantastic experience: Two nights ago I was sitting outside chatting with friends at my apartment in downtown Portland. First Protection Security came by to do their twice nightly checked and the officer stopped and chatted with us for a while. I can't remember if he was a sergeant or just an officer but he was very friendly and listened to what we had to say. We told him about the garage gate which is been broken for months and he said he would write it up. We didn't think anything would happen because nothing ever happens in our building that keeps us safer. But that's only because First Protection doesn't know about it yet. Every time we've asked them or told them about a situation we saw that they did what they could do about it and I cannot thank them enough. The gate is now fixed. I feel safer and my catalytic converter feels safer. Iworkedfdisstarting in Maine. I didn't have one. It took to be a first protection security officer

Fantastic experience: After receiving a federal grant, our house of worship embarked on a three-year-long security project. Although our project team includes members with considerable experience in both security and law enforcement, we elected to bring in some expert consultants. After considering numerous options, we engaged the specialists at First Protection Services to assist us in laying out an action plan. They studied our briefing documents and familiarized themselves with our local threat environment and municipal law enforcement resources. They then performed an extensive on-site inspection, met with our security project team, and provided detailed answers to our questions. FPS also identified vulnerabilities and strengths in our security configuration, demonstrated equipment for emergency use, and provided a most thoughtful written analysis with very specific recommendations. The FPS staff were very easy to work with, and their services were timely, spot-on and quite cost-effective. Their report was pivotal in bridging the gap between our grant-funded objectives and the actual implementation work. Once all of the physical and electronic enhancements are completed, we hope to have them back to assist us in developing detailed security protocols and guiding us through staff and congregant training.

Fantastic experience: Congregation Etz Chaim is a Jewish synagogue in Biddeford, Maine. Unfortunately, we decided to have armed security for our major community events due to the rise in antisemitism in this country. We have never had a problem, but you never know when the first might occur. First Protection Services has provided us with a security guard, as needed. They always arrive on time, as scheduled, in uniform. They look and act very professional. We are very happy with the service they provide and will continue to use them about time times a year.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this company enough! I am a Property Manager in the Old Port and we deal with a lot of homeless/transients at all of our properties. We can always count on FPS to arrive fast and handle whatever situation comes up. We also make sure our tenants know that they can call them whenever they feel like extra security is needed. They give us a lot of piece of mind!

Fantastic experience: The team at First Protection Services helped our company during a difficult period of time, treating the situation professionally and with care. The customer service we received was above and beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend FPS for anyone looking for security support and will definitely be using their services in the future.

Negative experience: My car was just locked inside the parking garage ok Temple Street while I was in the Music Hall. I was told the garage would be open until 11:00. It wasn’t, so I called the phone number. Many other people with their own cars were there as well. Security arrived to “help,” but they were incredibly rude and unprofessional. We were given directions to get into our vehicles and then scolded us for doing so. As a woman, I felt incredibly uncomfortable. I was yelled at and belittled by the two security officers.

Fantastic experience: We used First Protection Services for overnight security at a town-wide arts festival. The entire team was awesome. They were on time, courteous, professional, thoughtful and dressed appropriately. We plan to use them again next year.

Fantastic experience: Highly impressed with this company. No complaints over the course of almost two years. You will not find a better security company in Maine.

Negative experience: After seeing all of these reviews I was apprehensive about using this company, but my other options were much more expensive. I went with this business but it's hard to understate how absolutely horrible they are. As a word of warning- DO NOT HIRE THIS BUSINESS!! LOOK ELSEWHERE!!

Negative experience: Very unprofessional, will change your schedule with very little notice. Horrible communication. And will have you stay out of work to get covid test without pay and then wonder why you can’t get to work when they go weeks without paying you.

Negative experience: Do not recommend - officers sleeping in their patrol vehicles on client sites

Negative experience: i get such a kick out of these guys. I think they HONESTLY believe they are law enforcement.

Negative experience: I confronted a guard on froe street parking garage that was harassing 2 homeless people on public property and was assaulted. Changed his tune when he realized I was educated in law and wouldn't give me his name. I will be following up with a formal suit since my phone was damaged. I will be filling under the Better business beaurou also. Considering criminal charges also if phone isn't replaced.

Negative experience: Hire more people & stop having their S/O's work OT all the time- they never get any sleep! They have people working 12a-8a then have them turnaround & come back to work at 4p-12a- They never get any rest. They also encourage their employees to "read a book, watch TV, play on your phone, watch movies"... how does security observe & report if they are doing the above? Half the time the are being caught sleeping....

Fantastic experience: Very professional security company. Clean looking vehicles, officers dressed well. Always polite and professional.

Fantastic experience: Professional uniforms and officers. Highly visible vehicles. In my experience, the best in private security.
