Validate, LLC - Polygraph & EyeDetect Lie Detector Tests: Reviews
Negative experience: Disclaimer, this review is being left under an alias to protect the identity of the parties involved. Suspecting my wife of lies, I had her take the Eye Detect and Polygraph test on the same day. To test her, I asked 5 questions. My wife passed 1 question, failed 3 questions, and 1 question was deemed inconclusive. My wife vehemently denied the results. She denied them so much that she volunteered to take the test again. This time, I wasn’t letting her off the hook, I was going to take the test too. Upon arriving for a second round of testing, something unexpected happened. Validate, LLC’s examiner stated that we needed to talk. She wanted to know why I chose to take the test. I explained that since my wife was answering questions about infidelity, it was only fair that I did the same. Also, I wanted to be tested on four questions regarding infidelity to prove my faithfulness, and to prove that the test worked (i.e., to eliminate any excuses my wife could make following a failed exam). She suggested that by taking the test myself I was attempting to manipulate the test. WHAT?!?! HOW DOES GOING INTO A LIE DETECTOR TEST WITH THE INTENT OF BEING HONEST FORCE A FAILED TEST?!?! THAT MAKES NO SENSE! It is my opinion that polygraph tests are scams. If being honest on a polygraph test produces faulty results how could anyone pass it? The examiner’s explanation was that by going into the test with a hidden motive, the polygraph might produce a false negative. Huh? Any liar taking the test, goes in with a hidden motive. A hidden motive should not break a polygraph test. Besides, my motive wasn’t hidden. I was open about why I was taking the test. I had to ensure the test worked. After all, the results of this test had profound implications (e.g., divorce). If you know anything about polygraph tests, it begins with lying on purpose, so that the algorithms can adapt to your tendencies. You see? The test allows manipulation. Why then does the test not understand when a person is intentionally being honest? Isn’t that the entire point of taking a polygraph, to be honest? It got worse. The examiner accused me of threatening her, insulting her expertise, and being disrespectful. THIS WAS A LIE, IRONICALLY. My voice was calm, and I was simply stating my points. I explained that what I was doing was following a simple research protocol. In research, when you need to understand something, you test it, document your findings, and test more if needed. I needed to understand the accuracy of the test. Apparently, that’s insulting. Who knew? I’m warning you, do not put the future of your life, spouse, or children on the line using a polygraph test. Unfortunately, I cannot prove or disprove that Validate, LLC is the only company that operates in this manner. I also can’t prove or disprove that intending to be honest on a polygraph test counts as manipulation to all examiners. In closing, the examiner was very nice in the beginning. However, when I wanted to take the exam with my wife to ensure the accuracy of the exam, she behaved very angrily. I have my opinions about why. You can form your own opinions based on this review. She’ll likely respond with her side of the story. Perhaps, hearing both sides will help you make a good decision for you and your family. Be careful though, seeking to understand both sides of something is incredibly offensive to Validate, LLC. How dare you? Validate, LLC Pros: - Provided refund after dispute. - The examiner is nice to start. - The exams are cost-effective and well-organized on their website. - Just scheduling the exam produced several admissions from my spouse. - Veteran-owned. - The office is clean. Validate, LLC Cons: - The exam cannot distinguish a lie from the truth (allegedly). - An honest person is a threat to the exam (allegedly). - I was falsely accused of being threatening. - I was falsely accused of demeaning her expertise. - I felt threatened (i.e., due to her tone, and accusations of me being threatening). - The copyright date on the website is outdated (i.e., it says 2019).
Mr. Ritchie Knox and Mrs. Terrika Knox - Thank you for your review, however, I recall things differently. First, in all my years of business dealing with murders, pediphiles, thieves and more, I can count on one hand the number of people I've kicked out of my office and you are one of them for a reason. Second, your wife didn’t deny the results of the first exam - she readily admitted she did have secret sexual communications with other men and you sent a very long email outlining her admissions and accuracy of the first test. The second exam was to clarify if she had sexual intercourse and to be fair, she wanted you tested too since she was being tested. Your testing had nothing to do with validation of the exam. Third, during your first visit you admitted to having sexual contact with someone other than your wife, Terrika, since being in a relationship - However you weren't testing then. Later when you came in for testing you stated you didn't have any sexual contact and the only reason you would fail the exam is if the exam was inaccurate. From my POV, it seems like you knew you were going to fail the test and made up this entire validation scenario as a justification to explain away your future failure to cover up your own infidelity. You repeatedly ignored my professional guidance. You then became increasingly angry and aggressive until I asked you to leave. I stand by doing an excellent job during the first appointment. I stand by pushing back on any client that comes in and says the only reason they would fail is if the exam is inaccurate and I stand by asking hostile people to leave my office. I would be happy to have Terrika back and should you ever choose reconsider your own behavior, I would welcome the opportunity to give you a proper exam. In the meantime, I'm sorry this didn't work out. I wish both of you the best going forward. Stay safe.
