Negative experience: Paid for tracking service took money and didnt do anything was nothing but excuses for several months then just stopped answering calls and texts!

Negative experience: Very unprofessional. "My investigator" quit responding after receiving 1st payment. Obviously we didn't get any of the information needed/requested. All information provided by him at some point was information I was able to look up on Google. Not worth the stress and definitely not worth the money spent. THEY ARE A TRUE SCAM.

Fantastic experience: I Had a weird situation going on and thought I hit rock bottom if I needed to call a private investigator. Andrew reassured me that I’m Not the first and will not be the last with those feelings. He talked with me and put together a package to help with my situation, needless to say 2 weeks and I got my answer. After the whole ordeal Andrew reached out to check on me and make sure I was doing ok, I appreciate that a lot! I highly recommend this team.

Negative experience: I paid for the service up front and did not get what I was promised. Was sent a hard drive that only had a small percent of the data used. Was told they’d send me a complete hard drive and have yet to receive it. Started the process back in Oct. 2020. Have called several times with no call backs. Poor business practice! Will not recommend this business! Waste of time and money!!!!

Andrew and his team assisted us in locating a doctor who had left Michigan after committing fraud in our health care system, he then. set up shop in KS. This Dr. left to avoid lawsuits and possible prosecution. Andrew and the team at Precision were great. They hunted this man down, kept us informed of the progress and kept going until the job was done. I have to work with other investigative companies often, and I must say with sadness that mose are terrible and. should not be in business. Negative experience: I called this business hoping to purchase services. The person that answered the phone was vague and monosyllabic, as if afraid to let me know the name of the business or what they do there. Once I was able to get him talking he quoted me a rate that was several thousands of dollars. I said thanks, but that was out of my price range. His tone suddenly changed and he told me I could go to a different establishment then. The whole conversation rubbed me the wrong way. A few weeks later Google asked me if I wanted to leave a review, so left a one-star review based on that conversation. Shortly after I left that review I received a phone call from the guy asking me why I did that? It will hurt his business, and I should remove the review or make it better. I told him it was super creepy that as soon as I leave a review I get a phone call from the guy. He said said he's a Private Investigator and what should I expect after leaving that review. I reiterated to him that it was creepy and I was uncomfortable. After I hung up on him he texted me, asking me to change or remove my review. I'm thoroughly creeped out by all of this, and trying to find a way to let Google know about my experience. He asked me to leave a review so he has something to respond to. He is correct that I have not actually been a client of his. Maybe he does the job very well, and that's great for him and people who have hired him. But this was my experience.

Fantastic experience: In 1833, Eugène François Vidocq, a French soldier, criminal, and privateer, founded the first known private detective agency, "Le Bureau des Renseignements Universels pour le commerce et l'Industrie"[1] ("The Office of Universal Information For Commerce and Industry") and hired ex-convicts. Official law enforcement tried many times to shut it down. In 1842, police arrested him in suspicion of unlawful imprisonment and taking money on false pretences after he had solved an embezzlement case. Vidocq later suspected that it had been a set-up. He was sentenced to five years and fined 3,000 francs, but the Court of Appeals released him. Vidocq is credited with having introduced record-keeping, criminology, and ballistics to criminal investigation. He made the first plaster casts of shoe impressions. He created indelible ink and unalterable bond paper with his printing company. His form of anthropometrics is still partially used by French police. He is also credited for philanthropic pursuits – he claimed he never informed on anyone who had stolen for real need.[2] After Vidocq, the industry was born.[citation needed] Much of what private investigators did in the early days was to act as the police in matters for which their clients felt the police were not equipped or willing to do. A larger role for this new private investigative industry was to assist companies in labor disputes. Some early private investigators provided armed guards to act as a private militia.[2] In the United Kingdom, Charles Frederick Field set up an enquiry office upon his retirement from the Metropolitan Police in 1852. Field became a friend of Charles Dickens, and the latter wrote articles about him. In 1862, one of his employees, the Hungarian Ignatius Paul Pollaky, left him and set up a rival agency. Although little-remembered today, Pollaky's fame at the time was such that he was mentioned in various books of the 1870s and immortalized as "Paddington" Pollaky for his "keen penetration" in the 1881 comic opera, Patience. In the United States, Allan Pinkerton established the Pinkerton National Detective Agency – a private detective agency – in 1850. Pinkerton became famous when he foiled a plot to assassinate then President-elect Abraham Lincoln in 1861. Pinkerton's agents performed services which ranged from undercover investigations and detection of crimes, to plant protection and armed security. It is sometimes claimed,[by whom?] probably with exaggeration, that at the height of its existence, the Pinkerton National Detective Agency employed more agents than the United States Army.[2] Allan Pinkerton hired Kate Warne in 1856 as a private detective, making her the first female private detective in America.[3]
