Roman PI

Negative experience: If I could give him 2 star I would. All this man Frank does it take your money, and LIE! He never fully provides the service and does NOT work with integrity or honestly. I came to him 6 months pregnant to sublease a property from him to start a business, and after signing a lease with me and taking my money, he ended up owning $30000 on the property and NEVER using my months worth of money to pay any rent or anything, therefore just taking my money with no regard. He has no empathy and is filing for bankruptcy to ensure that he doesn’t have to fully pay anyone’s money back!!! DO NOT GO TO HIM UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCAMMED

Negative experience: This guy takes your money... does nothing. I win in small claims court to get my money back and now hes filing bankruptcy after lying to the courts. Beware he is taking peoples money to include you in his bankruptcy! A complete crook! We should all file claims against him!

Negative experience: HORRIBLE COMPANY STEALERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T GO TO THEM I SHOULDN'T EVEN GIVE THEM A STAR BUT I HAVE TO. VERY NOT TRUST WORTHY!!!!!!!!!!! I REALLY FORBID EVERYONE FROM USING THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I hired Frank’s agency for help in a personal matter. They delivered much more than I expected. I met Frank at his office, asked lots of questions and he patiently answered them all. He was easy to reach - call, text, email. He has a team of investigators, all of whom are very professional and extremely detail oriented. I would not have had the result I needed if it wasn’t for the help Roman PI provided. Thank you, Frank, from the bottom of my heart.

Fantastic experience: I hired Roman and his team for two separate incidents and the professionalism, thoroughness, and responsiveness was beyond expectations. He completed both assignments successfully and provided a binder of his report, activities, and survellience. I would refer him and endorse him and so glad to have his services available. And having someone who genuinely cares about his clients is an added bonus, not to mention his resourcefulness from years in his profession.

Negative experience: My fiancé & I paid $2,600 to have them conduct surveillance and capture evidence of elder abuse against our grandfather. After he had the money, it was extremely hard to get ahold of him. After numerous calls, voicemails, and emails, he would answer days later with the promise that a report would come soon. We have yet to receive that report. All we have ever gotten from him was a brief phone call where he said "there's a long-haired guy who's been receiving packages". The last time he ever reached back was 3/25/21 (after days of trying to get ahold of him) apologizing for the delay and that our reports would be delivered the following Tuesday. We never heard back even after trying to get ahold of him. We even gave him license plate numbers to run to help in the investigation. We also purchased an outdoor spy cam and asked if he could set it up outside our grandfather's home. He said he would but we could never get ahold of him to schedule it. During this 'investigation' , our grandfather ended up passing away. We still don't have a report. It really comes off as scammy and after seeing the unprofessional aggressive responses to reviews on here, I waited to put this review until after we changed our Bank information (because we paid him over the phone by giving our debit card number and signing a contract.) out of fear of retaliation. Glad some clients got help, because all we got was robbed of a lot of money.

Fantastic experience: Very thorough investigative services !

Negative experience: If I can put negative stars I would.... its sad when I give all the information they need an basically do their job for them and yet they are unable to do their job and get information. I have to call more then one phone number and email more then one email to try and get a hold of them to get updates on my case... this has been a horrible experience I wish I would have never hire them so they can just steal my money. I hired a different PI and I must day months of Roman PI trying I got in one day with the other PI that actually did their job... don't hire this company you will just get disappointed they are quick to get your money but not do the job..

Fantastic experience: Note that I did not hire Mr.Roman. The situation - a runaway 12 year old grandchild - was resolved by the Police Dept before I had to secure his services. His response to my enquiry was timely and comforting. Had the PD been unable to resolve the situation as quickly as happened, I was ready to hire Roman P.I.

Fantastic experience: I am shocked at how many less-than-savory reviews there are for this agency, and I don't believe any of them after the phenomenal service and experience we have received from Frank Roman's team, all of them working hard as one cohesive unit. My husband had to hire a private investigator for his custody case against his child's mother. Frank Roman and his entire team have been fantastic! We've spoken to Frank directly, and Elizabeth. They've both gone above and beyond to perform the (not so easy) tasks and get my husband as much information as they could. A lot of the information and answers my husband needed for his case were not the easiest for them to obtain, but they kept trying and did everything they could to get it, and they did. They've gone above and beyond to help all they can, and the investigators have been great at providing the most detailed reports, surveillance, and photos as possible. A HUGE thank you to the whole team for everything they've done, we are incredibly thankful and couldn't have done it without their help and support.

Fantastic experience: Still ongoing and I know things are going to change

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my story with Mr. Roman's agency is not a happy one. I turned to PIs in a moment of despair, and Frank was the only one I could find at the moment. At first it all seemed promising and cost-effective with the flat rate. However, various issues during the investigation led to the unfinished case and lots of wasted money. - The only successful surveillance's report showed the poor quality of photos (looks like smartphone photos). Also, if not for my prompts, they would have lost the target. - The agency is in Sacramento, and I'm in the Bay Area, so I always had to give an advanced notice for surveillance. It didn't work well and I lost several good opportunities for surveillance. - I had to press hard to get the data report on some person (which was agreed on in the contract), and they literally couldn't narrow their search down without quite huge hints from my side. Moreover, later I managed to get most of the information myself just by googling. - With his way of communicating Frank contributed to my anxiety a lot. He also allowed himself to make false statements about the case which were very painful to me at the moment. He also actively fueled my fears and suspicions to persuade me to hire him for a flat rate. I find this behavior very predatory. - Frank promised they'll work on the case till I say it's done. It never happened. Frank stated that they've finished the case by conducting 3 surveillances (in reality - only 1) with proofing my suspicions (no solid proof found). After that I never heard from him and he never ever picked up again. That said, I'm glad some people got real help from Roman PI. In my case I got nothing good.

Negative experience: Hired this guy. Doesn’t call, provides no reports. Basically takes your money and you never hear from him again. Con man. Do NOT hire this guy. Thief.

Fantastic experience: I called 4 or 5 different private investigators and none of them asked me more than a few questions before asking for my money. I called Mr. Roman and not only did he ask me a ton of appropriate questions to my case but his flat-fee rate was a quarter of the cost everyone else quoted. Frank and his investigators are ex-cops who know what they’re doing, are extremely professional and have more knowledge in investigations than others I contacted. If you are looking for any type of investigation no matter how small, definitely call Frank Roman! My case was very in depth and Frank and his team, with their expertise were able to solve what I needed, throughly.

Negative experience: Frank promised to do investigation to find my missing dog. He sent an investigator to my house for 2 h and charged me for 1000$!! He didn’t even returned my call after charging me 1000$!! And never sent me a report of 2h investigation. Pls don’t trust him and never rely on what he promises.

Fantastic experience: I would like to start off by saying thank you Frank Roman PI .I highly appreciate your communication your honesty in my case ,integrity,respect also your help you have been by my side throughout my whole process of my situation with answering all my questions and getting the job at hand done ,you have always made yourself available always answers my phone calls and much more in regards to support your work has not gone unnoticed you have worked my case with great efforts and I am forever grateful .

Negative experience: I have paid $3500 for this PI to give me info on my son and his whereabouts. He took my money quick and 2 months later I have zero information on anything. I have called and inquired with no information returned. Don’t waste your money on this worthless so called private investigator:/. A waste of money. Might as well have flushed it down the toilet. From Frank, 2/28/19: I can’t believe you posted a negative review after all we did . The report isn’t even completed yet . We did all the surveillance as contracted and did find out where he is hanging out . I will not allow you to post such lies about our services. I will take immediate civil actions against you for libel and defamation tomorrow!!! Ps after nothing in 2 months he finally responds with this after a truthful review!

Fantastic experience: Roman P.I. is very to work with. They run all my company employees background checks. They always answer my calls and are very easy to work with. Frank is also a former police officer and he knows the business very well.

Fantastic experience: I contacted Mr. Roman to locate someone for me after trying for four months to do so on my own. He told me he could get the information in an hour. I thought he was joking. One hour later he called back and was able to give me not only the current residence of the individual, but about 40 pages of other information that was eye opening to say the least! I only wish I had thought to call his office sooner.
