Fantastic experience: As a paralegal, I've used different companies and people for service of process. HPS has always been extremely professional yet extremely personable. The in-office staff have always been extremely helpful with each request or question I send their way. Their process servers are great at getting timely service and for getting those "hard to find/reach" individuals located and served quickly. There are three (3) process servers Cheryl, Trinity, and Robert (I apologize for not remembering their last names), who have each been amazing in keeping communication open and for going above and beyond when getting someone served. I would highly recommend HPS for all service of process needs.

Negative experience: Only giving one star because I can't give zero. I hired them for process service on a renewal of an order of protection, and not only did I only receive three of the four attempts I paid for, the server never read the papers (they were time sensitive!) and he only went between 1:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon - when I specifically told him that that person would likely not be home at that time. They did refund my money, but I will never, ever use HPS ever again. It goes without saying that my life and my daughter's life were put in danger by their lazy process server.
We appreciate your feedback and apologize that we did not provide the service you expected. Our goal is to always provide excellent service for our clients and it is concerning when that does not happen. We will work on making sure this does not happen again.

We are sorry you don't agree with the billing for the work we completed. We followed the specific instructions provided by your attorney and even discounted our invoice for the work we completed. There was no padding of your bill and our communication with your attorney was very clear.
Negative experience: I am an attorney that serves as a registered agent for many companies...the address is MY OFFICE. That is the ONLY address that I should be served at as a registered agent as I have never affiliated another address with my business. These jokers came to my HOUSE at BEFORE 8:00 a.m. on a weekday and rang the doorbell 2-3 times and before I could even open the door (I was standing about 5 feet away) the process server beat on the door which really scared my kids. How unprofessional. When I asked the server what she was doing she claimed that, "this was the address I was given, " (which is ridiculous) and began to walk away. I then told her she didn't have good service because the company she was trying to serve had administratively dissolved in 2017. She also parked on the wrong side of the road within inches of my brand new car and blocked the driveway with my husband's car in it. Literally every other process server in town knows to simply come to my office, or better yet, call and make an appointment; I will always meet them. Attorneys who serve as registered agents don't dodge service; that defeats the point of being a registered agent. Don't use this company unless you desire unprofessional service.
We certainly regret and apologize for creating this disruption early in the morning for you and your family. That is certainly not our goal. As far as the address we served, unfortunately we did get the address from our client, a local government agency. We followed up with them shortly after you talked with them to better understand how this happened and to see if there are ways to prevent it in the future. We pride ourselves on professional service and it is apparent there was a letdown here. We are sorry this happened, and we will strive to maintain a consistent approach to our service. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Fantastic experience: I have worked with Hatfield for years in serving paperwork and running skip traces/investigation. They are conscientious and do a good job. I appreciate how responsive they are to my requests when calling or emailing. They've always been great at scheduling service across the country in other jurisdictions for me too.
Negative experience: I will never use HPS again. They took way to long to serve my papers. The process server just sat on the service work. They ended up going diligent on a my service work. I was able to send my service documents to another process server in the same area... they got my documents served and the proof of service returned before I got my diligent proof back from HPS.
We apologize that you had a negative experience with us and our server was unreasonably slow. We strive to be reliable and efficient, but in this case, we certainly did not deliver. We appreciate your past business and respect your decision. Once again, we are sorry for not performing better.
Fantastic experience: They weren't able to serve our subpoena due to a personal emergency, but they were very professional, refunded our money, and helped us find a new process server right away.
Fantastic experience: The best customer service in the legal services industry in Kansas City, hands down. I have consistently used HPS since 1997 and will continue to do so. I have never been dissatisfied with the quality of work from Dwight and the entire staff at HPS or for that matter any process servers across the country who HPS has contracted with to obtain service on my projects. They always go above and beyond what I have requested of them and their follow-up, and follow-through, on projects leaves no room for doubt.
Fantastic experience: Excellent Service! Very proffessional! My office is in Texas and I needed a witness served with a subpoena in Missouri. I needed the service to happen the same day I was making the request. HPS got the job done in a very quick, smooth and professional manner.

Fantastic experience: I have entrusted Hatfield Process Service with my process serving for the last 20 years. Recently, Hatfield Process Service served a Respondent within one hour of receiving the documents. I have sent Hatfield Process Service out on several wild goose chases and they have always served within two days. I will not expend the time and effort necessary to have the county serve when I have Hatfield Process Service.
Fantastic experience: Over the last 10 years my previous law firm and my current law firm have used HPS. We have been extremely satisfied. They communicate well with us and get the job done and correctly. If there are ever any issues with process, we are notified immediately. The great thing is that they file the documents directly with the court and issue the witness fee checks. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend HPS. I have been working with HPS since early 2011. Over the years, we have sent them some high volume, complex jobs, and we use HPS exclusively in my department. HPS is very thorough, they stay in touch, they go the extra mile, they hold themselves accountable and actually read the documents we send them! We have used them for Local, Multistate, and International Service. I know we can count on HPS to get the job done!
Positive experience: I rely heavily on HPS for my service of process jobs. I appreciate their professionalism and especially like the fact that the server will call to let me know when the party has been served. When I have exhausted all leads and resources on a witness locate, I turn to HPS and their superstar Ms. Lund. I say superstar because she does not give up and leaves no stone unturned and has never let me down.
Fantastic experience: I have been using HPS for many years. I am a low volume customer, but they always give me great, individualized service. They stay in touch with me and let me know the status of things so I can pass along that information to the client. They keep abreast of changes in technology so digital processing is easier, not harder. I am totally satisfied with HPS Process Service and frequently recommend them to others.
Negative experience: They'll get your papers served for you, but good luck getting your affidavits back before your time in court!
For over 27 years HPS has taken pride in our client service which includes timely paperwork. Unfortunately, there are those few instances where mail service is slow, holidays or an absent server will affect TAT; however, when this does happen, we always communicate with the client and place the job on a priority status.
