Negative experience: The form for background check not professional. They are request confidential information via email which not encrypted. Moreover, they request personal info (e.g: history address) without any data encryption.
Negative experience: I can't recall having a more unprofessional background check experience. ScoutLogic asks for highly confidential materials (W2s, 1099s) to be sent via email -- not through a secure portal. It seems they are too lazy to simply call the companies to verify employment, and instead prefer putting candidate's confidential information at risk. More frustrating, however, is the ongoing practice of asking for the very same information that they or their clients have already verified. Again, this is a sign of laziness and disorganization on their part. I don't trust them as a candidate, so will never give them my business as a client.
Negative experience: I've never had such an unpleasant experience with a background check company. Despite providing all information from the get go, I was emailed numerous times on the same day by 3 different representatives of this company to ask for additional information. They even asked for W2/pay stubs, which is unheard of from a professional verification company. If you pay attention to the reviews, the good ones are from recruiters (surely incentivized) and the real ones are from the candidates (the ones who deal with the practices of this company.) This speaks volume about the practices of this company.

Positive experience: Please do not begin emails with "good day", as it makes the correspondence look like spam
Negative experience: Worst experience ever would not recommend these idiots to anyone they can't do a background check all they do is request documents what's his tax returns to verify employment instead of making a phone call or sending a verification of employment request very unprofessional lazy and not that bright Unfortunately your response is not accurate as to what actually occurred after checking both employers I listed which car sales I actually have both stores pull all incoming calls for the last two days let's go directly into the CRM there are no unaccounted-for calls leading back to Scott logic until today when I was informed by one of them took you had called for verification after three days

Fantastic experience: ScoutLogic is amazingly quick and efficient when doing background screening. Even when the counties are "clerk search" and they have to deal directly with the court clerks. Their customer service is the best in the business that I have seen so far. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: The customer service at ScoutLogic is second to none! The turnaround time has been exceptional and if there is going to be a delay, that is always communicated to us. There is always someone available to help answer our questions and calls and emails are returned promptly! Fantastic experience: ScoutLogic is a great company to work with. I have trusted them so much, I have taken them with me to each company I have been to. Chip is fantastic and does an amazing job communicating with his clients. I always feel if there is something I need answered he is on top of it along with his team. I would highly recommend anyone to use this company for background checks, drug screens, credit reports, driving records etc. They can handle a lot more than what you may think!

Fantastic experience: We began using ScoutLogic in November 2018 after having several unsuccessful background suppliers. To say this has continues to be a wonderful experience is the best way I can put it. The customer service has been prompt with resolving any issues (only a few) that we have experienced. Information provided on the screenings is accurate and appropriate to our request, which is far improved from our past experiences with other suppliers. We are fortunate enough to have Chip as our sale representative and he is truly wonderful, any time we need anything he is there to assist along with other members of ScoutLogic. They make you feel as though you are the only customer! We have found our perfect background supplier and plan on keeping this partnership in tact for a long time. Negative experience: Worst experience I've ever had with a background check! Honestly, I've never had a problem before with any that I have had. Including a federal background check. If they can't pull it up on a 3rd party verifier site, they want tax returns...W-2's...or pay stubs. Who keeps that from past employers from over 13 years ago? If they couldn't verify it that way, I was more than accommodating. They were given phone numbers for HR's with contact names, actual references from supervisors/co-workers/trainers, they were given a screen shot of a credit report with the employer in question, and they were given a tax return showing a retirement cash out for another employer. When the report was finished, they didn't follow up with many of the contacts I supplied and some of the information on the report was incorrect. Honestly if I ever interviewed with another company and they said they were using ScoutLogic as the background company, I would just withdraw my application and move on. It was that bad. I have nothing good to say about them.
Negative experience: Goodhire and other such companies give applicants a way to track the process themselves also. I don't see that as an option here, although if I am wrong I'd be happy to reconsider my rating.
