Negative experience: Refused to serve process on person less than a year away from the age of majority, even though they are statutorily responsible for their crime. Wis. Stat sec. 895.035(2)(a). Then he went to police and told them, in response they sent a plainclothes to my residence six miles out of her jurisdiction to arrest me for planning to sue. They are now joined as a party in a Federal action for violation of U.S. Const. amend. I, cl. 3 and two sections of the Wisconsin Constitution's Declaration of Rights.

Negative experience: Unusable. What kind of investigative work does this guy exactly do? Wanted him to investigate what seemed to be a group of criminals working in concert to harass and intimidate. Had been beyond disbelief. A few corrupt government officials must have been involved in this. The best decision was leaving the State.

Fantastic experience: We have never used a private investigator before so I was very impressed with the level of detail and their communication throughout the whole process. We hired them to investigate a family matter from 13 yrs ago when info was discovered after the death of a family member. There was not a lot of information to go on, but in the end they were able to track down the information and answer our questions. They prices are fair and I would definitely use them again if needed.

I spoke with Steven and although he wasn't able to take on the case for various reasons, he remained interested in helping me and gave me several professional referrals who could help me in a different capacity. Fantastic experience: I own a property that I rented to people relocating from Iowa. They signed the lease and then they broke it and moved to DeForest, leaving the property damaged and dirty. They provided a PO Box so I couldn't serve them for small claims court summons. Luckily I hired Attoe-Watson and they were able to locate them and we are headed to small claims court. Without Attoe-Watson's assistance, I would have a chance at reclaiming the cost of the damage. If I need help finding someone again, I would certainly use Attoe-Watson again.

Fantastic experience: We hired Attoe-Watson recently for security for two Property Management issues. They provided security during the Mifflin St. Block party and provided a man to accompany us to make sure a belligerent tenant had vacated after being served a notice to vacate for breach of contract. In both cases Attoe-Watson did exactly what they said they would do - they were on time, and they were there and vigilant to handle whatever situation came up. We especially appreciated the suggestions made by Steven as to securing the premises before we left after the inspection of the property - there were items/doors/windows etc. to secure that we had not thought to check. Finally, I want to mention that Steven maintained a calm steady presence throughout the entire process. He asked good questions and had good suggestions that helped us keep on track and moving through the process of inspection and securing the premises. Hiring him/them was a very good decision. As competent and prepared as one tries to be in situations like these, it is very hard not to get somewhat emotional/amped up; it is harder to think straight when it is "personal" - when one's business or person has been threatened.
