Negative experience: Im speaking on a employee standpoint: this place is HORRIBLE to work for. This place will let employees work 3 weeks WITHOUT a single break, working 12 hour days, AND pay them only $10 an hour. Like, if you're going to keep my husband for 7 days a week, because you refuse to pull from other sites to help, then at LEAST pay them more than $10 or $11 dollars.

Negative experience: I have also had negative experiences with this company. These guards thick they are police officers. They are security for The Villages, not HOA police. This company is horrendous. DO NOT USE this company. Melissa’s review is in line with my experiences. Stop harassing the homeowners. Also it’s great that the homeowners pay for their beautifully air conditioned pool clubhouse so they can play on their phones in the clubhouse while us homeowners are not allowed to use the space.

Fantastic experience: I am a homeowner community of the Villages at Seven Springs. I have had many occasions to observe the happenings in the community. Gittings Security and their employees have done a great job of maintaining the security of the community. Their presence is apparent and frequent. I believe that it is a deterrent to potential criminal activity as well as to making certain that the Rules and Regulations of the community are enforced. Violations of the rules by homeowners and their guests have been a common issue, such as illegal parking i.e.taking up several spaces by parking laterally instead of parallel, parking on grassy areas, noise, especially at late hours, violations of the rules of the pool, i.e. children under 12 in the hot tubs without an adult present in the hot tub, leaving towels on chairs and belongings on tables for in excess of 2-3 hours at the expense of others who come to the pool and are unable to locate a seat, permitting strangers to access the pool without an owner’s card, etc. I have observed Gittings employees in this realm. They have been professional, efficient and respectful. It is satisfying to know that they are present in the community and effectively providing the service for which they have been hired.

Negative experience: Our HOA recently hired Gittings on a trial basis to watch over the condominiums at Seven Springs. Since they have taken over- Charles (security officer-1) and a Mr Bittingdorf (security officer-2) have taken it upon themselves to be the enforcers of HOA rules harassing homeowner’s verbally, rather than protecting the residents and renters. I personally have been embarrassed and berated in front of my own guests- on the 3rd of July, I had to call the state police to have these “guards” return my belongings- the security guards stole them from the tables and chairs while I went inside my condo and took a meeting. There is no rule about leaving your item’s unattended- this guard took it upon himself to take my things and lock them up- he claimed I was “saving a table” what if they had my car keys, or medication? It took me over an hour to get the state police to get ahold of the “guard” to return my things. When he did - he was holding up a phone in front of him- recording himself like it was a body camera. These men are a joke- they enforce rules on their whim. Rather than actually watching over the areas they should guard- they’re sitting in our air conditioned clubhouse- claiming they made it their office. We know who got bullied in high school and didn’t make it in the police academy so they’re bitter men wanting to take it out on the world. I do not recommend this service to anyone. The residents and homeowners are working to ensure they do not make it past their trial period.
