Negative experience: Due to a family emergency, I missed a scheduled call. When I tried to explain the situation, they didn’t take the time to listen and hung up on me, following up only with a text about my pay. After three weeks, and with the business owner taking a one-week vacation, I finally received my paycheck—almost a month late. Their business practices are questionable. They have us complete W-9 forms, suggesting we are subcontractors, but then treat us like employees by setting schedules, requiring uniforms, and at times, making us carry pepper spray guns or act as Act 235 officers. I initially stepped in to help because they were short-staffed for the Allentown Puerto Rican parade and then agreed to take on a few hours each week. However, the level of unprofessionalism displayed has been unacceptable. Frankly, they are fortunate I did not escalate this situation to the IRS or the Better Business Bureau.
