Positive experience: Need a better phone system and have walked in 3 times with no one at the desk

Negative experience: This woman is a crook who’s bosses are attorneys who paid for her to become a licensed investigator so that they could find dirt on their clients to trade favors with city prosecutors. Do not work with this company, especially if you have Shannon Kmetic as your attorney, as she is one of the worst of them all, and uses this company.

Fantastic experience: Sometime back, I had a very positive experience with John at Virtus. He quickly performed a background check on a man who had represented himself as a wealthy Entrepeneur. John discovered the man had a rap sheet a mile long, convictions, tax evasion, multiple alias names, liens, judgements, and multiple phony storefront addresses. In all, the man was a phony and John uncovered all of the facts on this character in just a few days. Great service, great information, and a very reasonable price. Recommended!

Negative experience: Please to whom it may concern I had a public defender in Clackamas County for a possession charge and she hired John Jayne to do some PI work but never felt real comfortable with him and everything in my stomach told me this guy was not an honest person. I recorded every phone call between the two of us and even screenshotted every text message and in the process of filing a complaint with the state of Oregon. Long story short after he sent me up to miss a court date and I lost by default and now currently working for my father and going out of his way to ruin my life. I have video of him inside my home disabling cameras and removing my property. Not only did he disabled the cameras but he cut the ends of the cords so they couldn't be hooked up and destroyed my property as he removed it from my home. Please I don't like to put negative reviews like this online, so please buyer beware this guy is very dishonest.... Worked for me one minute and then my father the second and trying to help my father steal my home and financially ruined me.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this company. They go way above and beyond. Having been used another company I was very apprehensive about using another detective agency. Then I came across John and his Virtus team and happy to report I'm so glad I did on multiple occasions . Always available even out of hours with an update on each assignment throughout. I can not recommend this company highly enough. Don't bother with anyone else this is the BEST OF THE BEST RIGHT HERE !

Fantastic experience: John is an incredibly kind, caring, honest, intelligent and generous person. If he can help you he will and with his vast knowledge of the legal system he will come up with a plan to accomplish your goals in the most efficient way possible. He has helped me numerous times with very complicated issues and has gone above and beyond each and every time. He has not only helped me, but my family as well as several of my friends who were also in difficult situations. John also knows many talented attorneys and he personally introduced me to the best attorney I’ve ever had who has helped me win several complicated cases, the most important being an immediate danger custody case. John is responsive and doesn’t leave you hanging. I know if I ever need help that I can count on him to be there. Anyone who has anything negative to say about him was most likely busted by him at some point for doing something shady such as lying, cheating, stealing or some other kind of criminal activity. I’m confident that if you are in a situation where you need an investigator you will not be disappointed if you hire him. He is an all around great person.

Negative experience: These 'PI's' are liars, they will investigate you and help cops, they are cops. Dont trust them

Negative experience: To whom it may concern I had a court appointed attorney in Clackamas County which used John as an investigator to do all her running around.... well one thing is there’s a great shady area on client lawyer confidentiality especially when speaking with that lawyers private investigator and after telling John all the ins and outs of my case and not to have anything done because I was promised multiple times that he would back me because my attorney was not being professional and following through. I recorded every phone call conversation because I just didn’t trust him or her and especially after having that gut feeling. When things came down to it my attorney removed herself from my case behind my back and John did nothing to back as he promised. So after confronting him and telling him I had everything recorded because he kept telling me everything I was saying was false and I replied well I can back that with my recordings if you would like to listen to them and he flipped out telling me I can’t record this and I can’t record that. If you think that’s bad wait till you hear this after having a falling out with a family member by coincidental sake I’m thinking they were able to contact John not knowing that I used him in the past with that court appointed attorney and Clackamas County and by pure coincidence he became my father’s private investigator on mattersDealing with me. He should’ve removed himself from the case as soon as he found out that I was the person my dad was investigating...... Part of the restraining order had to do with my property and having me removed from my property and one day John decided to drive back-and-forth back-and-forth enough times to get my attention and ended up parking on my fathers portion of the property and far enough back to where I saw my father‘s belongings were in jeopardy which I shouldn’t of worried about at that time but I just am the person I am and wanted to make sure nothing my father owned was being stolen. So I drove down to the other property with another address which also had another entrance and I pulled in that property and asked him if I could Help him and he didn’t say one word or part of the restraining order was that I was not allowed on the property and he pulled in far enough back that would get me off the public right away and when he didn’t respond all of a sudden Clackamas County Don have pulled it out of nowhere with lights flashing guns drawn and told me hands up or we will shoot you. At that point I recognize the guy and I said is your name John Jayne which he responded no my name is not John Jayne and after getting in trouble taking this county and arrested in the backseat of the police officers vehicle I asked the police officer if that was John Jayne and he responded yes. Or I’ll leave it at this I also have video of John entering my home and stealing approximately $20,000 worth of my belongings and my girlfriends belongings and conversing my father into doing all kinds of different things because he has the information from me from when I was going to court with Clackamas County Don he was my private investigator. Currently looking into the fact that he might be crossing lines with telling my father things that I told him in confidence or confidentiality and going to pursue a lawsuit and also self charges on him so please be where the guy does not have your best interest and only has the $F in his mind. I do use this man you will see what I’m talking about when you enter his office and he kicks back his feet on the desk and puts his hands behind his head typical big shot status and sits there and makes all these promises to you that you know in your own gut he will not fulfil......So please please buyer beware.
