Star Investigations is a licensed private investigation and DOJ authorized Live Scan (livescan) fingerprinting agency serving all of California and provide nationwide service through our affiliate offices.

Technically, customers are supposed to supply three copies of the application to the Live Scan provider (Star). The Live Scan provider keeps the original, the applicant keeps a copy for their records, and the third is generally sent to the agency requiring the Live Scan. However, this requirement often goes overlooked so as a courtesy to our customers we issue a copy of the completed Live Scan form, free of charge, unlike many other providers. Unfortunately, you did not bring additional copies and we were unable to provide you with a courtesy copy due to the printer malfunctioning. I hope you understand and will amend your rating. As for your Live Scan being lost, this is incorrect. We are only responsible for processing your Live Scan at our office. Once it is electronically sent to the requesting agency (at the time the Live Scan is completed), it is out of our control and do not receive results. We suggest you contact the requesting agency for any inquiries. Thank you.
