Negative experience: These people are useless they won't help me get my 3 year old son back. Very unprofessional these people don't have heart.... and don't care about bringing a 3 year old boy back to his father... these people are a disgrace to private investigators!!

Negative experience: At first Doug was very friendly and professional. When I was disappointed with the lack of information he was able to provide for the $800 fee, he got defensive quickly. I asked about a possible refund since he wasn’t able to provide any new information at all (I would have been happy with a partial refund - I understand he took some time to do research), but he flipped out - screaming, interrupting, mocking me for even wanting the information, and finally hanging up on me. I think it’s important to add that I was completely calm, just feeling a little cheated and trying to discuss with him - this was not a fight. That kind of tantrum is just so inappropriate for anyone over the age of 5, let alone someone you’ve paid $800. There’s a polite way to say “no” to someone’s request… Also worth noting that the issue I was trying to discuss with him was the fact that when he was providing me all the information he could find (which was exactly the same information I was able to provide him in my initial phone call), he was delivering it as if this was all new information. Information I had given him. It was just bizarre. Also, I specifically asked him for something that it seems he knew right up front he couldn’t find for me due to Kansas state law. Anyway, he did start working on my case before we were even off the phone the first time, so I will give him credit: the name of the business fits. It just didn’t work out for me.

Fantastic experience: Act Now Investigations did an exceptional job even when I was in doubt hiring someone to get me the truth I needed. Act Now produced and communicated with me throughout the entire process to get me my results even with my attorneys doubts. My attorney said he would not get me the evidence because it was not part of his job. So I decided to hire Act Now. I would definitely hire them again and thank them for their dedication to my case.

Positive experience: Initially Doug was very helpful, interested and enthusiastic about helping me locate a family member. When our attempts were unsuccessful, I requested we try a different approach. Doug replied he was "not available". I know my need for his investigative services can't compare to bigger cases and didn't take a lot of time but it was so important to me. I can't explain his response other than to think he lost interest in my case. I paid for his help with cash, then by check for extended work time and would have continued to do so to achieve my goal. I'm sorry this does not have a positive outcome.

He is a hard worker and is resourceful and dogged in his determination to help his clients. Mine was a search for my biological father, and Doug had very few facts to use. He was successful, not only in finding him but in helping to bring father and daughter together. I would recommend him highly to anyone who wants a pro who won't give up on your case.
