Negative experience: Worked here at hobby as a flagger/gate guard it was good because I worked full time for the first 6 months but they randomly cut everyone’s hours to only 3 eight hour shifts if you are lucky. I will say upfront the job is very easy going and management is respectful. But the company schemes on the workers they forced a lot of people to quit within the last 5 months nobody I used to work with works here anymore. I been here for 11 months. They are hiring more workers and still keeping everyone at 3 days so it’s safe to assume they trying to make everyone part time. Plus you are subjected to randomly working really long shifts unexpectedly my longest being 22 hours, They still took days off my schedule because I was “getting to many hours” I wasn’t even past 40 hours that week so that’s kinda telling. No holiday pay I worked Christmas Eve and day on night shift, that was also my only option that week. And they had me take an unpaid vacation after that only to come back to the new year with only 3 days which they ended canceling anyway because of rain. Nobody wants to work grueling long shifts and for only 3 days and not see their money coming in. I seen them fire people and when they got they’re termination papers they still put “voluntary termination” which is just another scheme on the workers they are probably prepared for those situations since a lot of people quit or get fired which is smart on they’re end I guess. I can only recommend this job to young people who are getting they’re first job. This company is in the midst of going under I can’t imagine what they are going through but I can say it’s had a significant impact on my income over the past few months personally and everyone is miserable at the job holding onto the hope that it will pick back up again. Even if it did, you will be subjected to major slowdowns almost as if you don’t got a job at all. Better off donating plasma twice a week since you’ll be making about the same if you work here right now.
