Negative experience: These are just links to the dept of state website pdf's. What did i i pay $200 for? The links in the resourses aren't even current, they go nowhere. A google search gets you this stuff...and faster. Id like a refund please.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a part-time job in order to make some extra money. I wasn't interested in the usual delivery app side gigs. I decided to obtain a security license in the State of Florida. I researched my options and found NITA had several types of classes that matched my current schedule and lifestyle. I found the information to be everything from interesting to tedious, since these classes were state mandated requirements, I cannot fault anyone at NITA for this. I found Ryan to be both a knowledgeable and entertaining instructor. He seemed to care about the success of the students and preparing them for a job within the security field. I recommend his Florida D license classes.

Positive experience: I took the guard card class and it was ok. Most of the time we had Bill, but due to his mom's health, he missed the last day and we ended up with Ryan. Bill was a great instructor but Ryan was absolutely a jerk. He likes to constantly talk about his polital beliefs and bashes anyone from out of state. I, personally, wouldn't recommend anyone to take their classes. Although it was a super easy class. They give you the answers and everyone passes. So if you're worried about it being hard, it's not. Just do the questions for attendance and write a few things down, you'll guarantee to pass.

Negative experience: I actually enjoyed this course very much! And Jeff is an amazing instructor but the administration is reason for this review. Sandra is very rude, I joined the class on Tuesday which means I missed 4 hours of instruction. She says I have to make it up which I had no problem with. But why was there 6 different assignments she stated I had to do which are 120 minutes each when I only missed 4 hours? I have taken and passed my exam for my license and now I haven’t been given my certification that I PAID for! And can’t get anyone to answer the phone. So the administration is the reason for this review !

Fantastic experience: Want to get into Private Investigations or Private Security work and don't know where to start? Got a job and a family already and need to do the schooling from home for a few hours a day? I've literally written books full of notes from NITA courses, and used their job portal to find myself a position at a large Agency as well as several interviews. I'm not gonna pretend like I know everything there is to know about the industry, but I've been in it long enough to know that getting started can be hard as hell. NITA provided solutions for that to me. If you want to get into the Private Security and Investigations Sector, this is probably the best place you could start before you start layering on more advanced knowledge from Criminal Justice program Extension Courses at Universities and major, high-profile training agencies so you can build on the basics NITA can provide you without spending tens of thousands for a CJ Associate's at your nearby colleges.

Fantastic experience: Amazing online courses that will help enhance your career

Positive experience: I took the mental health course as part of a professional development requirement for my license. I maintain my license, but I am also an adjunct instructor at the local law school. I teach a course on mental health and the law in conjunction with the school of psychology (in addition to other courses on investigation). I was pleased that there was a focus in this course on therapy, self-reflection, and community. The four stars instead of five is for a couple of reasons. First, the grammar and punctuation errors were numerous enough to be a distraction. Please have a proofreader or editor look over your courses. We investigators must pay careful attention to detail and be meticulous in our reports. We all make mistakes. It is very hard to proofread and edit yourself. But having someone else review this course before publishing it would help lend credibility to the material and minimize distractions. Second, this course is full of some interesting statistics. What it didn’t have as much of, though, were research-based solutions and content after the first two introductory videos. There is no bibliography for sources, either. And there is some advice that goes counter to research-based best practices. For example, writing out questions before an interview is a good way to prepare. But then you should throw those question away or leave them in the car. Research in the fields of sales, psychology, and law enforcement say that checklists or lists of questions can be counterproductive in non-diagnostic settings (such as sales and PI interviewing). Going in with a framework or structure is much more conducive to information-gathering than a list of questions. A checklist can cause you gloss-over important followup questions and narrow the focus of your interview. Rapport is built on a foundation of active listening to build mutual trust. You can’t do that if your moving on to the next question on the list. Rather than list statistics about mental health, cite the research you used to convey the importance of community and socialization (because this section was excellent and important), and finish the research needed to back up (or throw out) some of your other suggestions. I have the benefit of being a trainer myself for both investigators and attorneys. I would like to see investigations and investigators be taken more seriously by using research-backed methods, citing to that research, and conveying it in a professional way. I think we hurt ourselves when errant commas distract from the message. (Again, no one is perfect. We make mistakes. Editing ourselves is hard. This is why I work with a team.) I have seen a lot of really good investigators INTUIT these research-backed practices, but I also see a lot of training and teaching material that reads more like a memoir than a textbook. This training on mental health is vital. This training contains so much good information. It could be nearly perfect with a few changes.

Negative experience: I've had such a hard time getting my license to the department of agriculture due to their negligence of certificate that they give you at the end of the course, And never stated during the course. And so many technical issues.

Fantastic experience: I was part of the first online class and let me tell you it was amazing. Each morning you log into zoom and show your ID card to verify its you. There student website (NITA) have all the reading materials you need to pass. The instructor, Mrs. Doroski, make you read the lessons in class then later go over them with you along with some videos. Pass my Basic Guard Exam with flying colors. This school is very much a accredited academy and so is the instructor. Both Mrs. Eschenba and Mrs. Doroski are very nice. They both want you to pass. Pretty sure the whole class pass the Exam. Make sure you pay attention in class, participate, and show up everyday.

Fantastic experience: If you are trying to read and find a review here is mine. It is an in-depth review of the company and their training material. This company is based out of Florida right next to a Private Investigative and Security Company I previously worked for. (Literally) I did not know this till after the fact I had signed up. I am Former Florida State Law Enforcement, current Florida Private Investigator, and currently still licensed in Florida for Private Investigations and Private Security. Now I am able to be licensed in Georgia thanks to National Investigative Training Academy (NITA) and start my PI business here. However, I moved to Georgia and I was looking to get licensed as a Private Investigator which in Georgia they call a Private Detective. Same thing different name. I looked at many courses and found them to be expensive and suspicious. I was looking for something I could take to get licensed and remain a customer for Continuing Education purposes. I then found "National Investigative Training Academy". I checked them out, did a background, and found out they were legit which means for those who do not know, they are licensed and actually exist, plus have the experience they state. They had a Pre-Licensing course for the State of Georgia per the Private Detective requirements which I also verified through reading the Board Rules and laws regulating them. They met all of the requirements. I purchased the Pre-Licensing course for the State of Georgia and began my 70-hour journey to become a Private Detective in the State of Georgia. I will say that their course is highly informative. I was actually surprised because they give you tons of information and some of the things they teach you are not only wise but extremely relevant and can take some investigators years to learn! I know a lot, but I do not know everything, and I am always looking to learn more. I can say even with someone seasoned like me to investigations I did in fact learn some new things in this course that I can now bring to the table in my investigations out in the field and in the office. After I completed the course, I immediately received my scores and my certificate of completion which I could print out right in my home, if necessary. I will say the best part about NITA specifically is they care about their customers and people who get trained through them. The reason I say this is because in Law Enforcement and Private Investigations, most of the time, you hardly get recognized for doing a good job, achieving new knowledge, or achieving new certificates. I have received many commendations in the public and private sector, however, a couple days after completing their course I received a package in the mail from them with a personalized card thanking me for taking their course and wishing me the best of luck. I also received a business card and personalized cleaning cloth. Now that is not only good for promoting business but makes you feel valued as a customer but the most important part about this is that they are actually taking the time to physically write you a letter to recognize you for your accomplishment. I say job well done and not only will I remain a customer but will make sure that I recommend this agency to others and will make sure all of my employees go through their training. Thank you!

Positive experience: I just took the Social Media Course, 6 hour credit course for Private Investigators. It was a good course, comprehensive and informative. I thought it provided good information. 2 things wrong and they are relatively minor. The course work repeats itself somewhat but, I think that is necessary. For me it was a distraction. Also, while the course covers some things that are legal or illegal, i.e. not criminal activity, it fails to cover the fact that some of the activity covered may be litigious. Thank you however, this was a good course and I would recommend it.
